I'm glad they came out with this. I can finally get the other Hitman games without having to pay for them individually.
Hitman trifecta whacking PS2, PC
Three-game compilation set for Io's Hitman series arriving June 20; Kane & Lynch preview disc bundled in.
While Hitman wasn't directly attributed as part of Eidos parent company SCi's mid-fiscal-year profit spike, the latest installment in developer Io Interactive's killer-for-hire stealth action series nonetheless achieved multiplatinum sales success. Agent 47 apparently wasn't too keen on the slight, as in March the publisher announced it would be bringing a trio of Hitman games to Valve's downloadable-game service Steam, in addition to several other titles in its catalog.
Today the company announced it would further be giving the series its due with the release of Hitman Trilogy for the PlayStation 2 and PC. The three-game compilation will include the most recent iterations in the Hitman series: Hitman: Blood Money, Hitman: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts.
A bonus fourth disc previewing Io's latest action game, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, will also come packed into the set. Appearing on the disc will be trailers, art, and screens for the gritty modern tactical shooter that follows the exploits of a deranged mercenary and his psychopathic accomplice.
The Hitman Trilogy is slated to ship June 20 and will retail for $29.99. All three games included in the package are rated M for Mature.
