Halo TV series in the works with Steven Spielberg

ugh ... Spielberg has been terrible for the past two decades, especially with TV series - The River, Terra Nova, Under the Dome, United States of Tara, Into the West, Taken. Ever since Pinky and the Brain, Spielberg really should have stayed away from TV series.

Why should I believe it will come to fruition after the failure of the movie and the Halo alternate reality thing?

I hope it's good, for every Band of Brothers there is a Seaquest DSV.

kinda sad to know that it will only available on Xbox One. Spielberg probably just gonna be a producer, like Darabont on The Walking Dead.

why don't just make a great movie and call it a day, Forward unto dawn sucks, the acting are mediocre. 

I'd imagine Spielberg will be an Executive Producer. That is, the producers who have very little if anything to do with the show :P

I enjoyed Forward Unto Dawn, so this is good news.

It isn't a good sign when the thing I was most interested hearing about at a new gaming system reveal is a TV series being made. Keep it like 'Forward Unto Dawn' and I will enjoy it.

I'm surprised Spielberg would put his name to this. Halo has more of a Michael Bay vibe.

I don't know about this one. I think they're cashing in on the movie maker money, it's more like a facade. Here, Spiel, say good stuff about this, how much you want for advertising, a million, here, done, marketing plot achieved.

I still want the Neill Blomkamp Halo movie, dang it!

Halo has done some pretty cool live action trailers, but just as with Blizzard's trailers, you might want something longer, but you know that it's too expensive to make. I wonder how they'll do it here. Seems promising anyway.

Pretty excited about this. I did enjoy Forward Unto Dawn. 

I got a feeling that this is going to be pirated into oblivion ...

How can they get an actor to play Master Chief if no one knows what he looks like?

The fact that the best thing out of this was a TV show is quite worrying

Spielberg was a producer on the last two Transformers films, so his involvement means absolutely nothing.

This show will be just as horrible as Forward Unto Dawn was. 

All I can think of is: who's going to play Cortana?

Other than that... no, right now nothing else comes to mind.

I bet he'll be working on it like the show... Uh, whatever the F that sci-fi show is on right now, which is crap.

I, absolutely, love Halo; though, I don't love it that much...

Spielberg is a genius... but that doesn't mean he'll use his head for this, just his wallet.  Probably just a producer.  Less work, more pay, first to be paid.

So another cheasy Halo production... the last one was pretty awful.

Every game project that Spielberg has ever backed has flopped. Anyone remember Jurassic Park: Trespasser?
