@CaptainHerlock So your asking as to why I have listed games that are "apparently" first person shooters. And wheres the story? Ok wow, and you use little big planet as an example for story? little big planet is essentially a creation game and level editor (very addictive but def not story driven). The game is set up to play with the creative mind. Not to be story driven. Gears of war 3 is a 3rd person shooter. Means the camera is over the characters shoulder to separate you from the character in order to focus on the story neutrally. I have also listed ninja gaidan, fable and others. But instead you stick to your eyes and not actually read how im saying every console is trying its best to make money. Unfortunately Nintendo and Sony are not doing so well. Sony cant make its cosole like the flag holding ps2 cause that's a top seller. Only special companies like pixar can pump year winning title after title. Nintendo lost the war and is trying to stay with the gang, kinda like a group of kids running down the street and the fat one trying to keep up (but every group needs a fat kid). With Sony's new loss of support, easily hackable interface, and not a clue of who hacked or jacked the system, microsofts online has gone unharmed, been updated, and it doesn't take decades to put in a new game and play it. the point is clearly, Microsoft is doing something right to make sure their product stays in costumers hands. Regardless of how people grew up on different consoles.
Halo: Reach golden
Bungie wraps development on its final installment in acclaimed Xbox 360-exclusive sci-fi shooter franchise; "majority" of team has moved on to Activision project.
With nearly a month and a half left before launch, Bungie has completed its final installment in the Halo franchise. In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Bungie executive producer Joseph Tung confirmed that Halo: Reach has gone gold in advance of its September 14 launch date for the Xbox 360.
"We went gold last night, so yeah, it's pretty much in the can," Tung said. "It's bittersweet for me personally. Everyone at Bungie loves the universe. We created the universe, have been working in it for 10 years. But I think everyone is really excited about what we are working on next."
As for what's next, Bungie is currently locked into a 10-year exclusivity deal with Activision Blizzard. As part of Activision Blizzard's postearnings conference call today, the publisher's chief operating officer, Thomas Tippl, confirmed that "the majority of the Bungie team is now focused on crafting their new universe." Though details on the all-new property are mostly nonexistent, Activision has confirmed that the game from the former Microsoft subsidiary will arrive on all major platforms, including the PlayStation 3.
Halo: Reach is set before the 2001 Xbox classic Halo: Combat Evolved, the first game in the series, and tells the story of the defense of Reach by a Spartan squad. For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of the game.
