Its not misleading at all, just use your brain (I know it might be hard for you). Btw, you spelled entered wrong, "HALO" should be Halo, and "So" should not be capitalized.

I don't care what people say about Call of Duty, Halo is and always has been the power of online multiplayer. Halo 2 defined Xbox Live and I have never enjoyed playing a game series as much as Halo. Here's to Bungie, for giving us 10 years of thrills, chills, and moments we'll never forget. And here's to 343, for continuing the magical Halo series and for Halo 4, which I am excited beyond belief about. Here's to Halo, the greatest video game franchise of all time.

Now if only they'd port the rest of them to PC.

Another reason is that they thought they were so good they went of and tried to support themselves as a developer and as their own publisher

halo really sucks you have to empty the whole clip into the opponent to kill him and thats if he doesnt jump 100 feet in the air witha shield! Ive always found Halo to be a noob game you cant even aim hip fire is gay Dont get me wrong I have played all the halos except ODST cause i thought it looked retarded but thats mostly because I am a game collector and a true gamer Ive also bought hundreds of other games just for the purpose of having a nice collection. Halo is a game where you can ONLY enjoy it if you overlook 100's of issues because you love the lore of the universe thats the ONLY reason to buy the game. also Bungie was EPIC at that very fact creating incredible worlds but I have my doubts about this 343 meh...?

I've grown up with every Halo game and have more good memories associated with it than any other game series. But as it got older, I felt the game stagnating a little; the formula a little stale. It's hard to see 343 gut the old Halo and make it their own, but I hope it's for the best and hope that Halo is revived to be the king of games it once was.

I love the fact that the gameplay in the Youtube link still looks exactly like Halo... 343 have really done it some justice

They will be missed indeed but looks like these guys know what theyr doing, i mean if they took they actually created a new game,keeping nothing from 2 ,3 or reach,I am waiting to see the results

Halo has become one of my personal favorite series, concerning both the games and the novels that have released. I have really gotten into the Halo universe, and can't wait to see how 343 Industries handles the new trilogy in the coming years. All I can say now is, thank you Bungie for all that you've done! I will definitely check out any future games you create as well.

Although I don't understand these games, it's still awesome that there's this many people playing something this persistently.

@soulless4now I would suspect that counterstrike would have higher numbers. Its been going longer and with more players I would guess.

Good riddance to bungie one of the worst developers out there the only thing they did good was the first halo. I am curious as to how good 343 will do, with all the money they have from Microsoft it should be a lot better. Something I don't understand is that they are changing the graphics when the lame Xbox 360 can't do graphics worth crap.

Well by Downward spiral It was intended more of a summit point for me after the first Halo, after all the LAN parties me and my friends set up in our apartment with 4 Xbox systems humming along and the sounds of 16 people voicing their latest achievement, Failure, OMG moment, VERY vocally and not to mention being within dead arm range, with COPIOUS amounts of inebriating substances fueling the endless Rampages. Halo 2 was THE PEAK, all the glory and screaming right from the safety and lack of dead arms at any hour on any night in your own home, it just didn't get any better from that point for me, the Halo Parties became fewer and fewer, the age bracket for xbox live players got younger and younger as well as more and more annoying and in that capacity age did NOT play a factor, idiocy knows no age limitations folks. Just an old fogey who doesn't wanna see Master Chief and the rest fall into the Void poor Sonic and Mario seem to be occupying, repeated bad ripoffs of a once mighty unstoppable juggernaut of fun.

Halo 4 shouldn't exist yet, we just had Reach and the Anniversary one. It should be released on the next Xbox, maybe as a launch title. They are milking it and its going to get stale if they continue this.

Those are some insane numbers! Congrats to the Halo series, bet they're glad they started tracking all that stuff with Halo 2.

@Hatemachine25, dude I am right there with you. I wouldn't say it was a downward spiral, as I loved Halo 3 and played it way more than I should have, and all of the game's have had decent campaigns, but....they just don't quite hit that mark the first one does. You should play the Anniversary Edition, if you're a hardcore Halo 1 fan like me you'll love it.

Halo 2 was the bomb. I love halo, My blood pressure doesnt rise when i play because its fun. Unlike CoD which is like a damn job. Fly around in a banshee and just blow stuff up? Check.

I'll always remember playing Halo Combat Evolved on the original Xbox, it was some of the best first person shooting i had yet experienced when i first played it.. granted in 2001 my catalogue of FPS's played was very small.. limited mostly to what was available on the Nintendo 64. Halo will always have a place in my heart thanks to the fun i had with Combat evolved.. unfortunately i can't say the same for the other entries in the series.. i've never been big into online multiplayer so the campaign and co-op modes were what i kept coming back for, and while i enjoyed all the Halo games i've played there was just something special to me about Combat Evolved that was never replicated with the later games in the series.

Good times, I remember when I used to have a 360. Halo 3 so far is the only game I got all of the original achievements for in a game (Surprisingly enough, legitly.....except for the Get hijacked and immediatly Hijack back achievement. I had my brother help me with that.) Halo is one of the things I miss transitioning from the 360 to the PS3.

Halo Reach is my favorite. Nice to see 20 billion games played. I hope 343 keeps the series strong.

Halo 3: ODST is probably my favorite Halo game. It has one of the best atmospheres I've played in a FPS, and the music is just phenomenal. Also, the way the story is told is really interesting. Don't know why it gets so much hate.

Kinda wish Bungie stayed with Microsoft instead of going with Activision. Both are evil mega companies but at least MS gave them some freedom when it came to ow they operate. We all know what Activision does when it has a disagreement with one of it's studios. *cough* Infinityward *cough*.....

Bungie is one of the few companies I love. Halo 2 was by far the greatest multiplayer ever played online that brought out xbox live. I failed 9th grade English because of you Halo spending countless hours getting a symbol that meant the world to me.
