How long did MS thought they could keep fooling people? The whole series have been overrated by the press.Never an original idea.Simplistic and repetitive gameplay.Cliche story and forgettable characters.Uninspired art direction.Sound effects lifted directly from toys. The whole series has been like that. But I guess after the press forgot to mention in the reviews that Halo 3 was little improved over Halo 2, and Reach was only marginally better than 3 people just had enough of the overrating.Well when I say people I'm excluding of course the easily entertained Americans. For me they lost me at Halo 2, it's no where near as good as the press painted it to be.
Halo 4 UK launch can't topple Halo 3, Halo: Reach
First-week sales of Microsoft's new sci-fi shooter not enough to beat out 2007's Halo 3 or 2010's Halo: Reach.
Halo 4 was the United Kingdom's best selling title last week, but the first core title from 343 Industries fell short of sales milestones from Bungie-developed entries. According to the latest Chart Track data, Halo 4's first-week sales were good enough for the 18th biggest launch in the region to date, behind 2010's Halo: Reach (12th) and 2007's Halo 3 (15th).
Halo 4 sold "slightly more" units than last week's top-seller Assassin's Creed III to earn the top spot, with Ubisoft's new stealth-action game slipping to the number two spot. Rounding out the top five were FIFA 13, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Football Manager 2013.
Of note, Electronic Arts (3) led all publishers in representation on the top ten list, followed by Ubisoft (2). Additionally, no non-sequels made it on the week's top-selling list.
