Halo 4 UK launch can't topple Halo 3, Halo: Reach

How long did MS thought they could keep fooling people?The whole series have been overrated by the press.Never an original idea.Simplistic and repetitive gameplay.Cliche story and forgettable characters.Uninspired art direction.Sound effects lifted directly from toys.The whole series has been like that.But I guess after the press forgot to mention in the reviews that Halo 3 was little improved over Halo 2, and Reach was only marginally better than 3 people just had enough of the overrating.Well when I say people I'm excluding of course the easily entertained Americans.For me they lost me at Halo 2, it's no where near as good as the press painted it to be.

Looks like the Brits are disenchanted by Halo.

I was really impressed with halo 4. Hella awesome :D

$59.00 has always been too much money for a new game. Now that people have less money, $59 is becoming totally out of the question. And besides, all gamers seem to be waiting for are recreations of the same games, and we evidently are growing weary from it.

Maybe its because the UK is in an economic double?... triple? dip recession.. depression?... i have the game but all my friends say they cant afford it and will get it for christmas. So if this is a larger trend i expect sales to be more spread across the christmas period as people add it to their christmas lists.

No wonder I've stopped buying new releases....

New Developer. They may have a tiny bit of Bungie employees, and they may be using Halo Assets and the Halo Engine, but they still have a reputation to build with consumers.

Well UK gamers no offense... but that top 10 list sucks overall... Halo 4 is engaging and extremely competitive as long as you know what your doing. There is a difference between pro caliber gamers and casual... COD fits the latter of the two. Im addicted to this game level 47 already. Looking for GOOD players add my gamertag if interested MadillMinded. 

   Reach is the better game sorry.. At the end of reach i felt BadAss and heroic even though i knew i wasn't going to make it, also reach multiplayer is more balance in my eyes, in halo 4 "Latency" plays a big part and the hit box is a bit off at times.. Add to that this story is kicking off a new trilogy so i start out a bit weak (as expected), and in all its a great game but REACH was a better overall experience for me..

It is a good game so far. The multiplayer is a bit chaotic and cheap at times. I fail at the Battle Rifle but own better with the DMR.

For me, I say the game is slightly tied with Reach. It has some better elements of gameplay, but missing some other elements Reach had.

My "Halo 4 Rocks!" message filled Facebook page would beg to differ, as would my Xbox Live friends "activity" list.  I'm confident that Halo 4 will outsell previous titles without much trouble.

...This headline almost tempted me to posit that UK gamers were more intelligent...

Tis a good game.

My only gripe is that there is no Fire fight. While I do agree Spartan Ops is supposed to be what replaced it, it felt more like Halos attempt at CoDs Spec Ops than anything else. All I ask is a return to classic firefight... AND ONE VERY BIG ISSUE BEING that the enemy variety in this game was HORRIBLE. ONLY. 7. ENEMIES. TOTAL.

Shame, Halo 4 feels to me like the most immersive and most engaging Halo since the original. 

You'd think with the huge installed base of 70 million consoles as opposed to like 55 million when Reach launched or like 15 million when Halo 3 launched, that Halo 4 would easily surpass those numbers. Perhaps COD launching a mere week later has something to do with it?

Halo never changes, it's been the same old shit since the first and the multiplayer hasn't changed since the second. The only good thing about the original was the A.I, they screwed that up with the flood and for some reason they keep wanting to face different enemy types that aren't fun to fight. I hate the level design in Halo games too, they're just so copy and paste, really really repetitive and lack any detail. Finally I hate the story, it's just so cliche and forgettable. 

I don't get why it is liked.

Huge Halo fan talking here, so Halo 4 left me with mixed feelings.

Multiplayer ???

at first I hated it... I absolutely hated it. Then it grew on me... now I'm addicted to it like I was Reach, and Halo 3...

Actually i am in Mexico, and i can tell you that HAlo 4 did not make even to the top 5, Assasins Creed is in first place and i think FIFA is in second. It is probably because many are buying COD Black ops 2 instead of Halo.

We need a MS replacement to the upcoming Valve hardware .

It's also a Shame that Halo 4 is not welcome in Japan and none of the Japanese are not into FPS. But then again, Japan is not into Xbox 360 and I hope MS just forget about Japan when they release there next-gen Xbox.

Probably because of black ops 2 being released just a week after halo 4s launch. Id imagine some people put halo 4 off so that they could buy COD. I bought halo but im gonna have to get cod now cause all my friends are playing that crap, dont wanna feel left out.

Hopefully sales will pick up more as word spreads. Really enjoying it so far. Black Ops 2 and AC3 are tough competitors (almost put off Halo 4 myself with AC3 coming out a week before), but I think the reaction to Black Ops 2 won't be much better than to MW3.
