Half-Life PS2 ships next week
The PlayStation 2 version of Sierra's epic first-person shooter will arrive next week.
Sierra has officially announced that Half-Life for the Sony PlayStation 2 will ship on November 14 in North America. It will be available worldwide by November 23. The PlayStation 2 version includes new multiplayer competitive and cooperative modes of play, as well as a variety of visual upgrades to the original PC game. The game's cooperative mode, titled Half-Life: Decay, lets players assume the role of two female hazard trainers within the general Half-Life narrative.
"The Half-Life franchise on the PC has received unprecedented support from both its fans and the press alike, winning well over 50 Game of the Year awards from publications around the world," said Mike Ryder, president at Sierra. "Working with Sony to take full advantage of their technologically advanced next-generation system, I believe we've set the stage for Half-Life for the PlayStation 2 to make another significant impact on the gaming world."
Half-Life for the PlayStation 2 was developed by Gearbox Software.
