@dimok2008 : Probably because there's already a game dedicated entirely to Metallica? Anyway, I kinda like this list. Don't know everything on there, but a few of my favourite songs are on there...

you know this is a great set let of course but there missing some real legends out there Bad Religion,AFI,The Offspring,Dead Kennedys,Hollywood Undead, they need more Sublime, Iron Maidon, and y Michael Jackson(The Child Molestor) hope they have some DLC
Led Zeppelin will never be on GH or RB because Jimmy Page doesn't want to, he don't want his songs on video games... Why? I have no idea
Decent song list for the most part. However, it could have been way better. The game is WAY too easy, the only challenging songs are Van Halen-Hot For Teacher, and Joe Satriani-Satch Boogie. Other than those the track list is not very hard. They need to put songs in that make your arm tired after you play it and stuff that's freaking fun this list is a bit boring. We need more Van Halen, In Flames definitively, and not from their new albums either, get a few songs from the albums Colony; Whoracle; The Jester Race; and Clayman. Give us some more Iron Maiden, stuff like Purgatory; Hallowed Be Thy Name; Gangland; The Pilgrim. More Muse would also be nice I would like to be able to pick GH and play Hysteria, and not have to deal with the RB notes (whoever decided on those was a douche). Other songs include Stockholm Syndrome; Fury; Exo-Politics; and New Born. Really anything from Steve Vai, and anything else from Joe Satriani. It'd be cool to have some RED; Demon Hunter; Killswitch Engage; and Disturbed. AFI would be great to put on here, and have songs like Silver and Cold; Kiss And Control; The Killing Lights; and Summer Shudder. And for God's sake get more Deep Purple on here! I would like to play songs like Highway Star; Space Truckin'; Burn; Stormbringer; and Fireball. And when the heck is Led Zeppelin finally gonna get into GH or RB!!!!!!!!!
dude this is a GREAT game...i got it 2 days ago and im addicted...the setlist is awesome...with a few exceptions...(la bama and on the road again)...but 1 thing that pisses me off about this game is that "Pull Me Under" by Dream Theater isnt really in it
I was gonna say I'd seen some of these songs already on RB2... But, seriously, I can't say I'm too impressed with what's been offered here. Blondie? Seriously?? I will applaud the Hendrix songs, though. With RB2 having 500 songs into the holidays, I'd say GHWT has some catching up to do. I played a demo last night, and I think I like the RB guitar better. What really interests me is the drum set, which could be a deciding factor. I'd also like to see what the song creator can do. So, if GHWT wants to win my $190 over RB2, they'll have to start pumping out new tracks soon (and please, no more RB repeats).
you know GH 3 and GH/WT are lacking Megadeth songs the first and second have them. But this list is pretty sweet still.
excellent list! 30 seconds to mars and linkin park! the bad one is that it does not have green day and rage against the machine
tool must have done some serious dealing to get 3 songs I don't care though, they are frikin awesome And to sonja about dragonforce, there will be plenty of shred here, don't worry.
yea...these songs are all on rockband not worth the money to buy $200 of more plastic instruments. Hotel California and Crazy Train are the only thing of interest, yet not worth $200
Wait im sorry did i just see muse-assassin? better buckle yo belts fools cos muse are back in town AND VAN HALEN AND JIMMI HENDRIX ABOUT FLIPIN TIME
Hey people complaining about not having their song. MAKE IT. I don't care if you can't sing it. The guitar is what it is about anyways. I don't know half the songs on here, but I know a song I'm gonna create...Searching :3
Para bailar la bamba se nececita una poca de gracia pa mi y pa ti arriba y arriba! sweet! love playing that on my guitar, its gonna be so sweet playing it on guitar hero! xD
Thank you Alex, people complain about one song not being on there (and its usually a lame song) just play and be happy. we all played the orginal guitar hero with giant smiles, just be happy
i think this game is going to smash all the others guitar hero's.this game will be the game of the year.they should add something of pantera, cowboys from hell for example. i think this game will give us a good impression, not as mercenaries 2 that disappoint me at all.
nednil007 !Megadeth would be Perfect for guitar hero and all they used was Freakin hangar 18! You clearly didnt play guitar hero 1 but u can pretend u did it had symphony of destruction which was fun as hell to play even if a bit on the easy side
I also am hoping they get some good hardcore, underground metal into the bonus songs like GH2. GH3 had a lame bonus line-up (though I dug The Endless Sporadic), but I want some Between the Buried and Me, Dillenger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die stuff, and COME ON!, I want to sing some Mike Patton, not just Epic on RB1. They need to cater to more audiences, not just people who like the dribble their fed from airwaves, I think these games could seriously help expose people who don't know how to find or appreciate talented/creative music (outside the 3/4 and 4/4 time sigs) to a whole world that actually makes music as art, not money-making mosh pits.
NoFX, Dream Theater, Dinosaur Jr., Satch, 311, Muse, Silversun, the Nuge! I am slightly less excited about this list as far as metal goes, but there are some good rock bands on here (why no painkiller?). I think this will be a fine showing of how boring and simple the hype-machine known as TooL really are.
Here's my two cents. As an OLDER, WISER appreciator of great F-in' songs, NOFX "Soul Doubt" sold me. Yes, it sucks that an almost inexcusable amount of songs are also in RB2, but RB2 lacks the studio mode. Complain all you want about the set list, but when you're done hashing out the set list, make your own! Pwn sum NuBs!
They can't put every single song you want in one game. Just wait then maybe they will come out with one that you like. I don't even know half the songs and I don't complain.
This song list sucks. The good ones are already available in RB2 and RB DLC, and I don't like Tool all that much (and there are other people out there that don't like them either), but buying this game forces you to have THREE of their songs.
The only thing that is REMOTELY good about this song list is purple haze and trapped under ice!Why did they screw with my guitar hero!!!!Why didnt they put MOP or Ride the lightning on here!?!Megadeth would be Perfect for guitar hero and all they used was Freakin hangar 18!
Guitar Hero seems to have totally ditched its core audience (i.e. people who are bored by Rock Band's somewhat simpler guitar and have stood by Guitar Hero so they can thrash all they want) and tried to essentially steal some of Rock Band's. Meanwhile, Rock Band 2 actually has some genuinely hard songs on the guitar, like Painkiller, Panic Attack and Visions. I wouldn't be surprised if Guitar Hero fans start heading to Harmonix for wicked solos. Not to mention, Harmonix just has more realistic charts. ;)
Yeah Confrog, Tool is total crap. Playing Danney Carrey drums won't be any fun at all. What a flippin' moron.
Indie music would be nice. People could then have a sample of real music, and stop listening to radio's promoted 1 hit wonder by a band with more money and little altruistic value to create music!!! ....
Awesome espically tool's parabola. My friends and family can't wait. Also the people that think it suck it doesn't espically with the dlc coming for more song.
