Online petition adds 50,000 signatures in two days calling on Rockstar to release open-world action game for PC.
The Change.org petition calling on Rockstar Games to release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V now stands at over 100,000 signatures. This is a marked increase from the 50,000 the petition had amassed just two days ago.
The petition says it is a "big shame" that GTAV is not announced for PC, specifically calling out the modding community being a "huge part" of PC gaming.
"Modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have," a line from the petition reads.
Rockstar Games has not officially acknowledged the petition, and a representative was not immediately available to comment.
Last week, Rockstar Games cofounder Dan Houser said PC and Wii U versions of GTAV were "up for consideration." The most recent entry, 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV, released for PC seven months after the console versions shipped.
GTAV is officially due out during spring 2013 only for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Well , after a shoddy port that was gta 4 , am just not interested in the gta franchise anymore , or just upset at rockstar not bringing redemption to the pc , i wont buy anything except god of war type games or racing games on consoles , a keyboard and mouse is much better for everything else

I think Farcry 3 looks like shit on all platforms, what you fail to realize is that farcry 3 is a port, like most crap games now a days, companies don't take advantage of the PC, if they did, then you would see a huge difference....but you are right, I didn't see much difference myself, because the game was just ported, nothing else, look at farcry, to me, farcry blows away farcry 3...the series has gone backwards, Farcry is still my all time favorite game ever, I couldn't stand 2 and 3.....an absolute joke, anything that goes to consoles becomes shit.

@LukeWesty Far Cry 3 difference tiny , i have both versions , and the pc version completely demolishes the ps3 version , the difference is astounding , same goees for battlefield 3 , and DMC devil may cry though it dosent quite use the pc well . Oh have i mentioned how washed up witcher 2 looks on a xbox360 .

Well, if anyone actually played GTAIV on PC you would know that it was a pretty shoddy port. The graphics weren't that much better and you needed a killer system to run it at its best.
1 Like @bryjoered2007 Well my system could run far cry 3 on high graphics with any lag, but gta iv runs shitty even on low graphics, rockstar really made a SHITTY job at porting it to the pc, so if they make the same job at porting gta v, no pc would be able to run it...
I really don't understand this console/pc war... if people don't like to play games on consoles you don't have to... if you are complaining about this game don't being released on PC play other games with much better graphics as you say so. If you play a game just for the graphics then go watch a bluray HD 3d animation movie. I always played pc games upgraded computers to top since Pentium166 but I give up of pc gamming now. Personally I was getting tired of hardware upgrades every new game release.On console I enjoy having trophies, good online servers, simplicity of console (run and play) and other goodies, I just wanna play a game not to play the same game forever and buy new computer after finish that game. If you prefer PC I respect it, myself i don't have time for computer gaming anymore, the time I have to deal with computers at work is more than enough.

@ptnull your console is just like a computer lol same hardware inside im both console and pc have pc xbox360 ps3 and pc is far superior in graphics and fps also if u get a good pc my graphics card was only about 350$ ill be able to play games for years to come grantuee it. From the stats of the next gen its already better and faster and double the ram better processor

1 Like i was more stunned Red Dead Redemption hasn't had a PC release. I couldn't play the console versions as the graphics were just too annoyingly low res and crap.
I tried both versions and both were terrible.

1 Like @Venatorcruiser i am happy for you but it was nothing compared to what a modern pc could do. Graphics were very low res and fuzzy on console with not even a hint of anti aliasing to clean things up.

A fanboy is a made up word to begin with and there are many reasons people buy consoles. My PS3 i use to talk with my friend overseas and also play 3D Blurays.
My 360 i use for Halo series and to talk to people occasionally as well. My PC is just always on so it is much easier to just use this for most gaming as well. Weighing up the cost difference between Pc gaming and console gaming not taking into account hardware which is just a one off purchase for the most part as is the console. You end up with a much higher return on your investment buying Pc games.
i also have an Xbox 1 with about 150 odd games i have collected from second hand shops in the past few years.
i have a dreamcast that a friend was using as a doorstop still new in the box and unopened for years.
An N64 and a Sony playstation 1.
As i am also an oldschool gamer at heart the Pc is the only way to get the best of all worlds now.
The entire command and conquer series EA Christmas sale $19.95 . That is all 17 games in the series for one low price.
I did however pick up Journey and Unwritten swan at Sony's Christmas sale for $9.95 for both too which is great value for the PS3.
Consoles are starting to become too locked for my liking and that is the main reason i don't game on them much.
It amazes me people have so much hate towards others for having a diffence in opinion. no wonder we have so much unnecessary violence in the world.
The true trolls are the ones saying disgusting things to each other to bignote themselves as they feel they have some sort of power of which in reality they have none.
