GTA V arriving spring 2013

Rockstar confirms previous rumours of a spring 2013 release date for GTA V on 360 and PS3; pre-orders for the game begin on Nomember 5.
Grand Theft Auto V will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in spring 2013, Rockstar has confirmed on its Newswire blog. Pre-orders for the game will begin on November 5 this year.
The announcement follows earlier leaks from Polish GTA fan site GTA-Five.pl and UK retailer GAME, both of which posted photos of promotional posters showing a Spring 2013 release date and the option to pre-order the game.
Announced last October and developed by series creator Rockstar North, GTA V is set in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the fictional city of Los Santos. For more on GTA V, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

A question, is GTAV coming to PC?. The logical assuption is yes, because all GTA's are on PC but how about the actual facts, any rumors or official word about it? At the very least they can say it will be released for PC with no known date... if it isn't i guess is boycott for me, no that it would help getting it released on pc.
I got GTA IV but didn't get into it like I did GTA:San Andreas. GTA 5 looks incredible but I think I may feel guilty if I don't give IV another go.
No doubt GTA is a great series, but i don't like pre ordering games for the risk that it's a pile of crap. I pre ordered AC revalations because brotherhood was amazing but ACR wasn't anywhere near as good. I can say that pre ordering skyrim was a brilliant idea, hence my username
I can't wait to hear Rockstar's satire take on LA's pop cultural phenomenon such as Paris Hilton, 90210, Lindsay Lohan etc. That would just be the icing on the top....
this is the best..but one thing i hate of GTA....its the discs.. i have but like 3 times GTA 4 and the disc always breaks just by putting on the box..WTF
This will be an incredible game: the fun of San Andreas, that big and amazing place to play. With a better story and better graphics, it will be sure the best Rockstar game.
Rockstar made an official announcement way back that RDR will not be coming to the PC. Their reason was that it was not financially viable. I don't know the details, but I heard that the PS3 development was plagued with tons of problems, and several times, the game almost never came to fruition, so yeah, it's not gonna happen. I'm bummed too, but a GTA V PC release will help me feel better.
Just hold the hope that some years in the future, there will be decent PS3 emulators on the PC.
@Architeuthis @ZakMcKracken that's PR bullshit, they know the porting would be easy since they can do anything without hardware limits and their engine is stil Dx9 based. Ps3 issues have nothing to do with this
1 Like @VarietyMage I don't remember Rockstar releasing demos for any of the GTA games before, so it's likely that there won't be one.
Guess I'll have to borrow it from someone else after they're done with it to demo it. GTA4 sucked compared to San Andreas. Great graphics, but terrible gameplay and too realistic of a storyline for the GTA universe. There were a lot of things wrong with the game (I wrote a letter to Rockstar with 20 bullet-points of wrongness that needed fixing), and hopefully they will have addressed those in GTA5. But I'm not buying it until I get to try it out. If I have to play with Gran Turismo driving physics, I'm not buying it. It made the game almost impossible to play for me - I'm talking throwing-controller-at-TV kind of impossible.
We all must make it our mission to make GTAV surpass COD as the highest form of entertainment ever sold. I doubt that will happen, but if anything can do it, I think it's a GTA game. It really wouldn't bother me if COD wasn't a game tailored to the sheepy masses.

Likely by March 31, as that's the end of Rockstar's fiscal year, so that would make release on the 26th, as that's the only Tuesday between start of spring and the end of the month
Ahhh, GTA, This franchise reminds me of a try hard rap star, selling on image alone and no real substance.
Yeah, my statement is self explanatory really. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, stop with the ridiculous routine of, you don't like a game that I do, you must like COD. It is so stupid, no I hate COD as I do most FPS games.
Fair enough. I am sure there are games you enjoy that I am not to fond of, and vice versa. As the open minded say, to each their own.
@Lordcrabfood @tightwad34 It's all about personal taste. I'm still playing San Andreas. It's fun just to get there, drive around, start a mess somewhere. It's really mindless, but it is fun.
I find the game insanely repetitive, the actual gameplay mecanics are sloppy at best. The story is forgettable. The game relies too heavily on some lame gangster image. I will admit I enjoyed GTA III for a brief period, but it quickly wore out its welcome, once the initial "new game" appeal wore off.

@tightwad34 Just preorder it. There were stores that allowed you to preorder the game months ago.
@tightwad34 That sucks. I've never experienced that. I don't think that will happen again if you did decide to preorder another game. To each his own though.
I won't preorder games ever again, unless I have no other option. I did it once and had the clerk promise me they would have a copy for me on release day. I gave them $5 as a down payment. So when the day comes to pick up the game, guess what? No game for me(at least from them).
