Gran Turismo 6 is a PlayStation 3 game, says Sony exec

I will never buy another PS3 game once the PS4 comes out. 

Just like Forza is a Xbox game

"Kazunori Yamauchi, president of Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital, appeared in a video at the event to describe the PlayStation 4 as so easy to use it was like a "blank canvas" for game creators."

Good.  I think its lame only one GT game made it on the PS3.

IT should be A launch PS4 game!!!  Now it will be 2018 before we get a REAL GT game out. PD take a year or 2 and have it come out for PS4!!! 

Remember that time that GT5 was pretty much a PS2 game? 

You know I got to say, I am very please with the graphics shown for ps4. however, it is clear that sony is operating as a business and not in the interest of fans. They will continue to do as they please whether or not we like it. So at a fans point of view, I would say, sony is making a bad move and should be announcing these mega games for the new console. but from a business stand point, there strategy is good. 

Not everyone is ready for ps4, and lots of people waited a very long time before the console price drops and for well develop games to be release. I think they know they messed up with ps3 launch. Ps3 lasted for way too long but if you consider how long it took for a really good game to launch, you would realize that the time span doesn't mean anything at this point. I believe games will take even longer to develop and consoles are going to last longer because of this.  

The key for PlayStation is to produce high-end games, mind blowing realistic; and it takes time and money to do so. They have truly come a long way and I finally see that graphics is not all that matters. It is a combination, that will take patients and a serious flip on the way we think of video games.

Games are not just about picking up a controller and start smashing. It is moving into the direction of story telling and bringing ultra realistic fiction to virtual reality.  And I'm loving it.

Why don't they Just make Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS4 Too! ! ! !

Why!? This game probably won't be ready until Playstation 6 anyway.

This is stupid! WTF is Sony thinking letting them release this on PS3?! If Sony had sense they would pay to make this a day one release for the PS4. GT5, G27 wheel, and the bluray drive is the only reason I bought the PS3. I can't believe they would do this! Sony announces the PS4, and now GT6 announced for PS3. Am I missing something??!! Its not even like they are going to have it ready anytime soon. The only thing I can think of is GT6 was built around the PS3 architecture and PD expected the PS3 to accually last 10 years.

This is assuming that they're able to release the game in the next couple years...

I'm guessing it'll be more of a GT5.5, Hopefully I'm wrong, but still very dissapointed with GT5.

Please let this be BS. With no backwards compatibility it'd be a mega dumb move for Polyphony. It'll sell... for what, a few months and then everyone moves onto the PS4?

  Take advantage of the new tech. Think of the future. Think of all the patsies buying this for their hubbies because "the controller can be used as a steering wheel", the ricers, the xcore gamers that consider this a day 1 purchase even if they don't dig racing games that much.

  Or you can be dumb and make Western consoles more appealing. Again.

This is the best racing game franchise ever, but I have to say that Burn Out Paradise was quite good also.

I remember one of guys from Polyphony Digital saying they couldn't make GT5 perfect due to PS3 limitations, and now they're making GT6 for PS3 again? Piss off

I'd prefer they take their time and do it right for PS4

i skipped GT5, now hoping GT6 have perfect user interface, realistic damage and 1000+ premium cars!!!

GT2 was my favorite GT Game, GT5 was a disappointment because of the Lack in Quality Cars (only 400 Premium) and the rest were PS2 Res Cars with no Cockpit view.
