Gears of War: Exile and Halo HD premiering at E3?

didnt expect something else from 360 anyway.....always gaylos and gears nothing else microsoft never had creativity on consoles....nothing new here

What is with all these remakes lately? It's like, there is no more creativity anymore... I mean, don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to go back to Halo 1 for some memories, but, I would LOVE EVEN MORE for something fresh, new, but not too gimmiky...

As long as it's not just an upscaled Halo:CE then sure I'll buy it, but they better do even more awsome MP ideas like with Reach and so on. Halo Reach is on of my fav things about Xbox360, and as for Gears of War Exile where did it say that it was for Kinect? Maybe it's going to be a Arcade title that fills in the gaps between 2/3? Remember several developers did that and trippled sales while doing it.

I literally the other day joked about them realeasing a kinect gears of war. Please, don't do it. As for CE HD, i would love that

Hopefully, since the weapon ideas and story are already made, they have more time to make the graphics as crisp and shiny as possible. One of the best shooters ever in HD? Do want.

Halo HD would be amazing to do! Halo: CE has always been my favourite in the series and not only would we get better graphics and sound with the awesome SP but all those old classic maps (Bloodgulch anyone?) will make a comeback!!!

Nice to see Microsoft remaking the game that practically gave the Xbox a great start. Sorry Blinx but Halo is just the better icon. It would be really cool to play Halo: Reach's campaign and then switch to Halo HD's campaign right after.

I'll get Halo HD! I love the Halo series. Imagine taking the first Halo online for co-op or just multiplayer maps!! Very excited about that.

If M$ is trying to bring "hardcore games" to Kinect, this won't quite cut it. It's not hardcore if it's on rails. This would be a perfect opportunity for them to deliver Kinect + controller gaming, with depth, but I doubt that will happen. As for HD Halo 1, yes please :D

if halo HD doesnt have online then ill be pretty sad.. halo 1 on pc just isnt cutting it anymore with the crappy netcode

@KimCheeWarriorX A 10 year old PC game is not going to look better than a modern 360 version. I game on both PC and console. Modern as in up-to-date textures and texture resolutions, character models, object detail and models, etc. The character models in Halo were great for the time, but they lag quite a bit behind modern standards, as does much of original Halo in general. I'm looking forward to Halo HD.

@stomponyahead I'm not sure what maverick hunter x is but there was a graphically overhauled perfect dark put on XBLA with online multiplayer.

As awesome as a Halo HD/ remake would be or a Gears sidestory I'd much rather see some more exclusives or some news on some already announced ones, like that Codename: Kingdoms game from last year. All they had was that teaser trailer of three guys holding weapons asking "Who can stand?" and the fact that Crytek was developing it.

bah, not really interested in either. dont get me wrong, the kinect is a pretty neat piece of hardware but im just not interested in it considering i dont have room in my apartment to use it, heh. some of you that might know me here know that im not particularly fond of the halo franchise. plus ive played the pc version of halo which will probably be on par if not better looking than halo hd anyways. i suppose it might be good for halo fans that dont particularly game on a pc. im waiting for some super big announcement thats gonna make em stand out. so far sony with their ngp and nintendo with their wii successor seem to be the only companies with news worthy announcements. not that id buy either of those but new hardware always seems to get more attention than new games. cmon ms, surprise us at e3 and come out with something totally unexpected.

I have no interest in Halo HD but this is a good move 4 Microsoft. I do however have interest in the Gears game. Im lookin 4ward 2 E3.

@Phil-teh-Pirate I disagree. An HD remake of Halo: CE released on its tenth anniversary is a great way for MS to start its post-Bungie Halo plans. I don't think anybody wants Halo to turn a CoD milkfest with releases every year and Reach is less than a year old. This is something for the fans to let them know that Halo is alive and well at MS while the new team is cooking up the follow-up to Reach.

@AgentRebecca Gears of War 3 is coming in September. No one is hurting Gears. A Kinect Gears title could be cool if it was done well. It wouldn't hurt your enjoyment of Gears 3 in any way. It is a different experience on a different platform. Does a crappy novel by a fourth rate sci-fi writer based on your favorite game franchise make you like the series less? No, you just don't read it. Same here. For a year now, we have been hearing "Where are the hard core Kinect games?" Is there a better place for MS to start than with Gears of War?

Microsoft is commemorating 10 years of Xbox by remaking the game that put their console on the map? Halo HD better arrive value-priced. I still have my original Xbox out and am content with playing Halo SD if the price is too high.

@stomponyahead Halo CE is and always will be the best halo (well some may say halo2 for the online multiplayer), it was amazing to say the least.

Halo:CE HD? pffft, overated game.All the rest of the halo's were better than that.I rather play PERFECT DARK. Now, if they remake the game and story like how they did Maverick Hunter X, i might reconsider.As far as gears of war exile, I think it could be a success. I think the story will revolve around the beginning of emergence day and the fall of landown, intresting.

The Halo remake is old news. It's mostly just a graphical upgrade; however, online multiplayer is being implemented into this one.

I hope the halo HD is more of a "remake" than a simple resolution fix. The enemies and environments from the levels from the first halo in halo reach's engine would be epic The flood especially if they use the same engine of halo 3's flood.

Sorry, but there had better be more to the MS event than yet another Halo game, and an on-rails Gears. What about X-Com and Project:Kingdoms for example?? I wanna see MS do to Halo what Chris Nolan did with Batman e.g. a total overhaul which resulted in a darker and moodier setting making the whole story much more gripping. I'd love to see a complete visual overhaul and hope its not simply a Definition upgrade. @nhh3smith, Although Bungie have indeed left Halo behind them, MS have appointed all future Halo related development to their in-house team '343 Industries'.

i have played all of the halo games but none of them can compare to halo reach, not even the very first one which i thought was pretty good but the suits in the halo games keep on getting better and cooler as the game continues on and on.

do we really need another gears of war and another halo is this the beginnin of microsoft doing what ive been fearing --- halo gears halo gears , boring and kenict what ,now how they expect that to work we cant turn our heads from the tv on rails ? ya my point exactly not buying a remake -i already paid 50 for a pc remake and 12 for it on xbla ,,that said i will not buy another halo , and gears dont even have the third yet and they hAVE this com on where is pd2 or somthing else
