GC Advance Wars enlists under new name
Battalion Wars marks the franchise's first foray onto the GameCube; GBA port storms the console September 19.
LOS ANGELES--Longtime fans of the Advance Wars series on the Game Boy Advance know that the series is coming to the GameCube. However, when hoofing it around Nintendo's booth at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year, they may have been perplexed to not see a display station labeled "Advance Wars: Under Fire."
That's because the strategy game has a new title. Nintendo has revealed that the new name of the game will be simply "Battalion Wars," but it will still feature the large-scale battles from the portable versions.
Also of note is the game's updated release date. Look for Battalion Wars to start fighting on GameCubes on September 19.
