I think that is important, anyway, it certainly won't make me want to play that game any MORE, certainly...
South Korean rapper's hugely popular song will be available in Ubisoft's new dancing game as DLC beginning in November.
The "Gangnam Style" phenomenon is continuing to spread. Ubisoft announced today that South Korean rapper Psy's chart-topping hit will be available as downloadable content in Just Dance 4.
The song will be available beginning in November 2012 as a paid download. Launch and pricing information will be made available closer to release.
"Gangnam Style" debuted on YouTube in July and has amassed nearly 500 million views, becoming the site's fourth most-viewed video in history. The song currently sits in the number two position on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
Just Dance 4 is due out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii in October, with a release to follow in November across the world for Wii U. It is the fourth core entry in Ubisoft's series, and features dozens of songs, including Carly Rae Jespen's "Call Me Maybe" and "Rock Lobster" by The B-52's.
Song is catchy. Has fun choreography. It fits a game like Just Dance. Song isn't meant to be deep and inspiring. Game isn't meant to award-winning. Why are people upset?
It's nice and all, but doesn't necessarily need it's own news headline.
It's the latest "quirky foreign song", like The Hamster Dance, Numa Numa, etc.
Do people still care about this fad and will people care next month? I'm not speaking rhetorically I really am not sure.
Okay Gangnam Style is a refresher from the mainstream.... we all need it because it is, well, like a break from hour normal 8-to-5. Hence it is popular and I appreciate that. It only makes sense that Dance Central 4 include this but I hope that they release the game in time before the latest phenomenon dies down. From a music stand point, IMHO I thank Taylor Swift for releasing <RED> I hope this will put a stop to the Gangnam Style streak.
wow...so many people don't do research. this is NOT parody song. Psy just likes to put humour into his videos/dance moves. the song is about Gangnam (A PLACE IN KOREA) and how freakin hip it is. it's basically saying "this is how they do it in gangman," just like "Sweet Home Alabama," or how here in the USA people make so many fucking songs about California, albeit not so serious. so YES, it IS a song. just cause you don't understand what they're saying doesn't make it any less legit.
People hating this song think they have better taste than those who do ... Something's definitely wrong here. OP OP OP OPPA GANGNAM STYLE!!!
This song is just a parody, obviously you can compare it to other great songs, but I prefer it a lot more than Justin Bieber, Rihanna and all that crap.
is OK for people to like/hate this song, but insulting other over their tastes is a terrible idea.
personally I think its crap, but I respect your opinion, I hope you will do the same to me.
I thinkt the video is awesome. It isn't so much the music; it's the ridiculous dance moves that makes it so awesome. I compare to the macarena but 2012. It's going to be really hot for a while but then it will slowly fizzle. It's better than what a lot artists are putting out. Kanye West, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber. Yeah, that is what I thought.
@JDWolfie Yeah the dance gives it such a strong and distinguished character. You're right about Macarena, these 'dance' songs come out every once in a while and just sweep the competition completely.
More faddish s**t for the brain dead-zombie like masses, who listens & enjoys this trash more than once is beyond me.
@contraigon I like the parody "Gandalf Style" better than the original song and that also goes for the parody of "Call me maybe", with Darth Vader singing "Join me, maybe".
another dumb song that will soon be forgotten along with la lambada, the macarena, can't touch this and ice, ice baby, the beautiful people and countless, countless others.
Finally! My friends keep asking me for this song at Dance Central. Now they can actually dance Gangnam style at the actual song -_-.
Just Dance? Ewww...Would've been much better on Dance Central. I can't get into Just Dance and, for some reason, I just find the style visually appalling most of the time. I know that's weird, and I don't know why, but I just do. :/
This needs to be on Dance Central too... an infinitely better game IMO. I wanna know how to do those silly moves step by step :P
I enjoyed the song just like I do lots of Korean music. Then just like many other good things it gets run into the ground.
This guy has got to be one of the coolest people on the planet.
What a character. Read the English translation to see what he's saying in Gangnam Style if you haven't already.
He's so much more real than the rest, even if only the Koreans get it.
I'd so much rather *him* having half a billion YT hits than "Flo Rida" or "lil Wayne" or some other child who's never worked a day in their life.
I love how this song exploded around the world and people already saying they love Psy even though they can't name another song of his XD
I remember when it first came out (since I listen to Kpop).
@NTM23 thn go listen justin beiber song crapFACE
@korosaki-ichigo So because I don't like this trend that's going on, you assume I must like Justin Beiber as an alternative? Or you're just saying that for no good reason other than to (kind of) mock me for not liking what you do. Ha ha, alright.
That's pretty low of you. I'd rather listen to... I don't know, The Dark Knight Rises soundtrack more than this, as an example. Your comment is cliche and unneeded. You could have simply said "Well, I disagree." Instead of calling me a "crapFACE".
Content you might like…
Yes, it's a dance routine set to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". And yes, it will be stuck in your head for the rest of your life. You're welcome.
