£400 is too much for a console. The PS3 didn't sell quickly to begin with because it was too expensive. I'm thinking that the xbox one and PS4 will launch between £300-£350. But once you buy a game, you are looking at £400. :/

if Microsoft sells its console for 500 it would be a bargain with all the tec its has any lower than that and we are going to have a crazy fall this year one thing that ms could afford that sony cant is to take massive losses on there consoles

Lots of crying here. Just go buy a fucking playstation then.  Im all about the competition. And this is only scratching the surface of what this tech has to offer.  Playstation is going to offer up the same damn options on there next console. Its all good. Thease abilities are things we as kids never have dreamed of.   Just ignorant to say this thing isn't going to be a awesome machine  all the major franchizes are on board here its all good.  And if you want a playstation go for it just shut the fuck up.  I stand behind Microsoft and sony and apple the competition just makes the technology grow better and better. This is where the future holds for apple sony and Microsoft.  Only pple in danger here I see are the cable providers.  Don't be afaraid of change, embrace it and lets see what these companys can get us. ugh

Makes Me laugh With all the xbox fanboys that slated the hell out of sony, now they are true PS4 fans it makes me laugh how microsoft couldent do anything wrong and The PS3 was such crap console in ther eyes. Now sony is the best place to game At least i can say i supported all consoles an did have the xbox red ring of death machine aswell. remember where your loyalty is when PS5 comes out and dont jump back on the xbox if sony make a mistake.

Yeah.. will be less expensive at launch than past consoles.. but that doesn't say much when past consoles were overpriced to begin with.  PS3 architecture was too complex, making manufacturing parts expensive.  After Sony learned of their past mistakes, they are building PS4 efficiently.  Good on them.

I think I'll just stick to PC next gen.

If a PS4 with decent storage comes in at $400? That is all I want.

Price fixing is not ok, oddly enough I don't care if the publisher gets a cut from second hand sales, just like Toyota didn't get a cut when I sold my car.  If this is how one sided your system is on day one, when you're actually trying to woo customers, how bad is it going to be in a few years when 10 million people are locked in

The PC or PS4 now my friend,there is a BIG ASS DISTANCE now between the PS4 and the Xbox one

In my head I think "400$ would be fine, please be 400$" But then I think.. "Oh yeah, I'll still have to buy a game."  That'll add up close to 500$ Or more, depending on the actual price.

How about EB Games/GameStop stop worrying about the price and make sure that this time around we can preorder sooner for these consoles than we could in the past like for the Wii U ?

the kinect 2.0 alone will raise the price of the xb1 about $100 and the the system u can expect at around $300 and then u need games, headsets, insurance, and perhaps a 2nd xb1 just so when the 1st one bricks u dont have to run to walmart or gamestop again that week, so im guessing around $2000 to start on xb1, ps4 will run somewhere around $500 im guessin

I don't see either system going for less than $400. Mr. Gamestop can say  what ever he wants, but he's lying.
