YouTube hosting rough cut of trailer for Uwe Boll's Postal, Dead or Alive up on Google Video in its entirety.
Devoted fans of the Postal and Dead or Alive game series can give their film adaptations a chance without forking over their own money because the full-length Dead or Alive feature film and an early trailer for Postal can be found on Internet video sites today. [UPDATE: Dead or Alive was pulled from Google Video shortly after this story went live.]
Directed by Corey Yuen (The Transporter, Dragons Forever), Dead or Alive has been posted apparently in its entirety on Google Video since January 7. The PG-13-rated film stars Jamie Pressley (My Name is Earl, Ringmaster), Devon Aoki (Sin City, 2 Fast 2 Furious), pro wrestler Kevin Nash (Grandma's Boy, The Punisher), and Eric Roberts (The Specialist, Best of the Best) and runs almost 83 minutes long. It follows a group of fighters invited to compete in the exclusive DOA fighting tournament and features an assortment of familiar faces from the game, including Kasumi, Christie, Helena, Zach, Tina, and Bass.
While it doesn't provide as extensive a look at the movie, the trailer for Postal might be more enlightening because director Uwe Boll's intentions for the adaptation are shown exactly. After taking a relatively straight-faced approach to films based on House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, and BloodRayne, Boll is setting out to make Postal an outrageous comedy. In just 90 seconds, Boll's trailer for Postal features the director saying his movies are financed by Nazi gold, toilet humor, guns, sex, and a supposed endorsement from Osama bin Laden.
The Postal trailer features Zach Ward (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Verne Troyer (Austin Powers: Goldmember, Bubble Boy), and Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall, News Radio) and advertises the film's release as this spring.
when you see a movie trailer where a girl is beating up a guy while topless, puts on her bra, then tells him to do her up, you can tell it won't be a good movie.
*shakes head* someone should have pulled the plug on this one as soon as Kasumi was cast! Just like the DOA Xtreme 2 we have another poorly/rushed product to make the series look bad!
DOA the Movie = Dreadfull POSTAL the Movie = Rubbish Uwe Boll = Needs to die This makes me cry. Will someone please put and end to these crappy Game Movies.
deapcyfer karateyoyo "YES! IT'S PG-13!!! AW YEAH!!! I'm gonna see if I can find the WHOLE movie! XD One person told me a lil bit about it!" Yes it's PG-13?!? that sounds like bad news to me. no reason to even watch it if there ain't gonna be nudity cuz we all know the movie itself will suck. ...if it makes u feel better...theres sorta partial nudity
sweet! I admit that I want to see the DOA movie just to experience true campy crappiness, but now I won't have to spend money! Actually, as crappy as Uwe Boll's movies are... he might actually be able to pull this one off. Honestly... it's impossible to screw up a tasteless, offensive, and thouroughly silly game. From the looks of the trailer, it looks like he succeeded. Midget celebrity... check, violence... check, terrorists... check. Yep.
How did this make the news page? You may as well provide links to bittorrent sites for all game-related movies, the videos are just as legal.
Rasskal33 "It gets worse. Uwe Boll and Rob Zombie are doing the next Saw film. Saw IV. All is lost. Someone needs to go postal on Uwe Boll. lol" I dunno about Uwe Boll, but Rob Zombie isn't doing Saw IV, he's doing the new Halloween movie. And considering Saw IV is coming out around Halloween there's no way he'll have time to do Halloween then Saw IV in time to get it out for Halloween. And I highly doubt anyone would let Boll touch the Saw series. It'd ruin a cash cow franchise.

they're still letting Uwe Boll make movies??!?! Who does he know?! Seriously, he must have some sort of insider crap going, theres no way anybody else would be hiring him to make movies! he's a complete fool.
Uwe Boll is just....I don't even know how to describe him. How in the hell does this guy keep doing movies?!
UWE BOLL RUINS MY FAVORITE FRANCHISES!!!!! you keep a alcholic away from the bar, like you should keep Uwe Boll away from movies
DOA looks like one of the worst movies ever made, I dont know why people even bothered to take the time to upload it.
YES! IT'S PG-13!!! AW YEAH!!! I'm gonna see if I can find the WHOLE movie! XD One person told me a lil bit about it!
Sounds like you're into porno, kenerhai. Which, of course...there's nothing wrong with it...if it floats your boat.
yea, uwe boll didnt even get near resident evil, and i think too many people arent giving DOA any credit because they think its uwe boll movie. DOA is directed by the same director as The Transporter, which friggin kicked @$$!!! Hot chics kicking butt?! Devon Aoki?!?! im sorry, count me in on DOA!! I dont care if its a cross between the street fighter movie and charlies angels! Sure it'll be cheesy and campy and not take the game to seriously, but who cares. Hot body actors and a proven director is more than enough for me.
of course Uwe's comedy will be good, his last funny movie, Resident evil and Resident Evil 2 were hilarious!
Those aren't Uwe Boll movies.
Yeah, but he can't RUIN a game that has nothing to it but midgets, ultra-violence, and al Qaeda... That's pretty much all the movie's about. This will be the first Uwe Boll movie I'll ever willingly see, because he's not ruining it.
of course Uwe's comedy will be good, his last funny movie, Resident evil and Resident Evil 2 were hilarious!
Ok. I feel very very VERY dirty saying this. But, Postal just might attain the title of 'cult classic.' It actually might be entertaining. If this works, then maybe, just maybe, Boll can have a movie that isn't in the running for worst film ever.
the trailer was kinda funny... quite suprising.... maybe Boll is more suited to making stupid laughable films... actually.... ;)
GIJesse: simply put i would commit suicide. Anyway i think that Uwe Boll should never make any movies for as long as he lives. He must be working with Jack Thompson to help steer people away from videogames
i second on that killing uwe notion postal is an aquired taste and id hate to see it hated more because of Boll
LOL, Oh fraking god Postal looks funny, and it is somewhat faithful to the game. The whole osama and killing part that is.
even if the movie was for free watching...I still probably won't watch it. the movie doesn't seem to have the feeling of Dead or Alive in it...
" Agent_023 I want that 83 minutes of my life back. " What is sad is you actually went into this movie thinking it would be worth 83 minutes of your life to begin with.
To be honest, it really does have the feel of Postal 2. Maybe a little more crazy, but I have to admit it caught my eye. And after Bloodrayne, can it get any worse?
