Most of these games you can buy on eBay for £5! At least then you can re-sell them when you've played them and maybe even make a profit!

At least with games on demand, I can download rated M games without having to go to store and get rejected by the sales clerk because I'm not over 18

Something I would like to see in the future with new game releases being on demand is that if I were to buy a game at a store it would cost be $60, but maybe this way, without there being a store and distributor, buying it on demand might only cost $50....We can all dream can't we?

If I were Microsoft I'd make a shirt that costs some rediculas amount of Microsoft points. See how many people want to "be cool" and buy it. They would make a bunch of money off of that. hahaha Don't be surprised if that do that.

I also think Achievement points should be used as a type of currency, it would be a great idea.

I can't wait to pay $5 for some stupid cra...I mean, a shirt that says "Halo" on it that will only be seen by ppl on my friends list. I'm a smart consumer

The option to download full games is a nice feature but for me, I like to have a hard copy. For one, if I don't like it I can trade it in. Also some of the games can be bought cheaper in the store example: Lego Star Wars: TCS. It's $29.99 on Live and $19.99 at most stores I've been to.

Best thing about this is, xbox live silver members can also download the full games. Its nice to see MS not being to money hungry on the "games on demand"

I agree with Tombackman_5's comment about rewarding users for achievement points. If you put in the time to accumulate the points you should be rewarded for them with MS Points. Come on Microsoft reward your faithful users!

Why are people complaining about not having enough memory? No-one's forcing you to buy the full games, just go out and get the disc then lol take your b*tching elsewhere.

How long before that larger and more expensive Hard drive comes out microsoft? Because pretty soon most people are going to need it ,damn money makers!

hmm MS is getting 2 thinks in one, more money buy selling games, avatar item etc, and also ppl who do want to buy games/arcade hits must eventually buy a new hard drive becuase this one holds only so much. nice jobs M$

I cant say meh loud enough. For one thing DD games are terrible, arcade games are okay, because they are like $5-$10 but when they get this expensive I want a hard copy, especially when the games are old and I can get the hard copy for less used, and new for that matter.

actually most of the 360 games on their on demand are cheaper then boxed versions.i know cuz i got the update preview and seen the prices.

Why would the games be full Price? its not like you are getting anything hard copy that jacks up the price since there's case, dvd or booklet, that and shipping and ect copied 1's and 0's aren't worth full price.

I hate xbl. They keep making me pay for xbl membership. They turned it on so that it makes me buy it every month taking it out of my bank account. Ugh! I called, turned it off, and fixed it. Thats why I love my ps3 no problems, easy ways to pay, aka no point system. and how can I buy these games if I can't upgrade my harddrive?! I'm not deleting the games and stuff I have on there now.

I really wish MS would set up a better system for paying things online. In a perfect world we could have an achievement point market, that would spurn game sales while rewarding loyal Xbox gamers.

A) The price was revealed on other sites. It's been updated here as well. Try expanding your knowledge outside of gamespot. B) You have to be connected to xbox live to play xbox arcade/original games as well as these. If you don't believe me feel free to try playing an arcade/original game when disconnected from live. It won't work. C) If you are going to call someone an idiot at least spell it correctly. "the avatar clothes isn't all that stupid. some games and more to come shows your avatar and some will buy the stuff to look different. the thing is about the clothes is the price ms is charging. if they was cheaper be a different story" I see no reason to buy anything clothes wise for your avatar. I can see them being for achievements in a game. If you want to that's fine. I just think it's ridiculous to blow money on something which adds little to nothing to your gaming experience. Again, a lot of this update is cool but I see no reason to buy games for more than I would at amazon or the store for that matter. If they drop the price to at least amazon pricing I will be the first to buy them.

i would much rather have the game case for my collection...not going to be using the games on demand at all...and I only have a 20 gb HD

What I would really like is the ability to rent games on demand. That way I could try out a retail version of a game I'm not so sure I want to buy with out having to go to the rental store. Of course it would also be nice to be able to complete short games during that rental and not have to buy them at all! However, I doubt we'll ever see that happen!

You would think they could go cheaper on some of these titles. They are cutting out expenses like manufacturing, packaging, and transportation. On the other hand, there may be some technical aspects involved that I am not aware of. I am happy they are doing it though. There are a few titles I want to get from the present list, as is.

As long as the prices stay close to what the stores charge for them, I think this is a really cool thing. $20 seems like a great price for Mass Effect, for example, because that is the price you can buy Mass Effect: Game of the Year edition platinum hit in stores like Wal-Mart for. The thing that concerns me is that some of these games can be purchased for quite a bit less than $20 if you buy a used copy in a store like Gamestop. Microsoft might want to take that into consideration. Maybe it would be a good idea to sell some of the older classes for a sale price once in a while for $15 as part of the "Deal of the Week" on Xbox Live. These are some great games, though! Prey is a game that really is a great First Person Shooter! I'm going to get that one. I've had some trouble finding it in stores any more.

It sure would be nice (or should I say more successful) if the games on demand were cheaper than retail purchased games. It makes sense to do this, you aren't exactly getting anything physical out of the deal (so they are saving money), and you cannot resale the game to be sold again used (so they are saving money, again). IMO, they should make these games on demand cheaper to make it more popular and they will actually benefit more from increased profit per game sold and also countering the whole used game movement (insert that famous game store evil empire here). But no, they want to charge the same amount as retail... we will see how long it takes for them to have a change of heart.

to PS fanboys complaining about buying virtual clothes, what about PS Home clothing.... yeah thats what i thought ;) I think the whole on demand thing is cool, but I have the original 360 with 20 gigs so I dont have room. Does anyone know if they have the feature on PSN i forgot cause I havent been on it in forever??

def a good move by MS i mean thats pretty darn cool but i already have most of those games and you can def find alot of those for under 19 buk in a store so unless i cant find it somewhere else i would rather take a trip to the store.

And this whole "on demand" I think is an attempt for straight profit. No middle person, no manufacturing costs or shipping...plus you can't sell it or give it to anyone else. It's a good approach for casual games but I hope they don't think that this is the "future" of gaming. People actually like owning physical items.

@Csonic and can you imagine the copyright violations? Companies would pretty much lose huge amount of business. I like the idea that they have right now where you can download it and use the disc as verification that you have the game.
