Forza 4 getting $30 Season Pass, demo

I need to know what are those cars and is it worth to pay for? I won't pay up front with no information what will I get. -*-

The three cars from the PAX expo (and other demos I've seen online) are: 2011 Subarau Impreza WRX STi 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO Hopefully, this demo will show us some different cars?

@lewishim666 You should take a good look at yourself before you start making assumptions of others, kid. I never accused Turn 10. I accused M$. And fr your infomation, I don't own a 360, nor do I intend to get one. Why? Because I refuse to pay to play online. Great console, just don't like the way M$ does bussiness. And my parents sure as hell never bought me a current gen console. And how is my name in any way associated with skating? Grow up kid, and realise that there's more to life than gaming. @Jawehawk-DK The bottom line is that I want to support Turn 10 and I'm not going to stop supporting them because of what microsoft does. Turn 10 has nothing to do with how there product is sold. They are only the developer not the publisher. If you want the dlc to extend the life of your game then don't buy it until you finish the game. I have been a fan since Forza Motorsport. I know exactly how dlc was I've had my 360 since november 23rd 2005. That's the second day it was released. Don't tell me about what I do and do not know. I know i've had my 360 longer then you because if you didn't have it preordered months in advance then you had to wait months after the release to get one. Seeing as your parents probably bought you yours I'm guessing that you got yours around december 2006. I know from your name that you skateboard or more then likely you like to act like you skateboard but have never stepped on a skateboard and that most likely means you were still in school when the 360 was released so don't try to tell me you bought it yourself and have had it as long as I have. I know all about the 360 and how dlc was. I just want to support turn 10. The first dlc I ever bought was for perfect dark zero. My first arcade game was wik fable of souls. I was in my first year of college when the 360 was released.

the price for those type of DLC should be a lot inferior. Its only cars,there is no new tracks. And if the price would be cheaper, then a lot of people would get it ;) like me!

This seems to be the direction Microsoft is headed then.. Leave stuff out then release it later - but let the consumers believe they're getting a real deal. They announced it with Gears and they've announced it with Forza. If folks keep buying it they'll keep doing it. Sucks.

Really, I don't care. I mean, it's just a few extra cars, I'll have my hands full with the 400+ cars that come with the actual game.

@lewishim666 Does the word "sheep", mean anything to you? Paying half the price of a game for what amounts to 0.1 % of what the game actually is. Pathetic... Of course people like you are fine paying whatever price is asked, without thinking any further about it. Think about it. The asking price of the full product is 60 dollars. Then, you can pay an additional 30 dollars, just to get a few extra models that was left out solely for the developers to earn some more cash, by releasing them after the game. 60 dollars you pay for an entire game, including physics engine, models, tracks, events, online etc. and 30 dollars for a couple of models. From a logical standpoint, that makes no sense. If they already knew you wanted these cars into the game, then it's downright greedy to release it after the game. You don't seem to have any clue of what DLC's once were. They once served the purpose of extending a games life span by adding new features. This only serves as a way to make money. And I'll bet you most game developers aren't in the bussiness to make money. They are in it because they enjoy it. It is, however, a different story for the puplishers.

@Jawehawk-DK Do you not know that it takes a month to certify a game gold and to manufacture it? That's more than enough time to make 10 new cars which they are offering along with the 30% discount as incentive to buy the season pass. The rest of the dlc probably isn't even finished at this moment. The only thing you are getting access to on day one is 10 muscle cars if you've read correctly and then you get six more dlc packs between november and april of next year. How do you figure that because you get 10 cars on day one that all the dlc is done now, that they are offering from november to april? Once a game gets sent to Microsoft's QA department it's too late to add anything. It doesn't take nearly as long to certify dlc as it does to certify a whole game. Nobody says that just because dlc is available day one that you have to buy it right away. Why shouldn't turn 10 get paid for what they make? Just because they started working on something after forza 4 got sent off to get certified doesn't mean your somehow entitled to it. They worked on it and should get paid. Why does everyone want handouts? You saying that they should give the dlc away for free makes me think you've never worked a day in your life. I wouldn't have even said anything but people that just expect people to work and give the work away for free disgust me. You are greedy not just MS. Turn 10 also has nothing at all to do with how the game is marketed and sold so don't go blaming them. Either way the season pass is designed to help you out because no amount of whining or bad math (a reference to you telling others to "do the math") is going to get you the dlc for free so for those of us that plan to get it, we will save money.

Nevermind. I think I figured it out. On Forza's site they didn't do a very good job of explaining things...

I'm confused on the inclusion of Indianapolis Motor Speedway... If you get the season pass do you get it first thing or do you have to wait for the DLC to come out? If I don't get the season pass can I still purchase the track as usual DLC content?

@k2theswiss Do the math. Day one release means that part of the DLC, if not all, is already finished. This means that it should be in the game (if not on the disc, it should be downloaded for free). It's utter bull to create more stuff for a game before it's even released, and then cahrge money for it. The point of DLC is to extend the lifetime of a game. Or at least, that what it should be. Instead it has grown into another way to make money by charging a completely ridicules price for nothing but new models.

I just find it funny that nearly everyone is 100% sure all the DLC is complete. they just want to old it back for extra money. Well heres the thing. 1: i am pretty sure you dont even work for them nor microsoft. So you have no clue 2: When a game is complete/ final stages, The marketing team / head devs get together and go like you want DLC yes or no Then HOW much DLC? They make a plan/Scheduled for the future just like any other company out their. Also Yes most likely the DLC is being created now but most likely not complete yet. Heres the reason for that in the a team you have writers, artiest designers, programmers and so forth. Some of these jobs become useless after point in a making of a game SO the publisher / dev company makes a choice Do we lay off these guys or slet them get started on OUR next project? SO why not put them to work? NOW you people saying it should be in The game to begin with. HERES the issue There is NOTHING telling to even put anything in a game. 2: once a game hits testing. NOTHING is going to be added unless it truly needs to be added. From that point things are fixed or removed. 3its dlc don't buy it if you don't want to IMO i wouldn't pay a dollar for a car DLC, all they do is change to sound effect place mod on already made car, adjust some specs and boom.

@Jawehawk-DK Do you work there? Do you know for a fact that they could have put it in the game? What's wrong with a business offering up something that is EXTRA (that means it's not required), just get over it, if you don't want it, don't get it.

It's overpriced, but cheaper than most other DLCs out there nowadays... Bad trend for gaming :(

They're doing the same thing they've done with Forza 2 and 3 for DLC except they're giving you the option pay for all the DLC upfront and to save 30%. If you 're planning to buy all the DLC then this is a good deal. If you're planning to buy none of it than this doesn't affect you at all. Like it or not DLC isn't going away.

This is friggin hilarious. Litteraly telling your consumers that you neglected to put stuff that's already 100 % finished, into the game. Thus forcing them to pay even more money to get stuff that should've been in the game. M$ shall forever be the king of greedy bussiness, getting money from their consumers in every single way possible. I can't believe people are just completely fine with sh*t like this.

Most other publishers do the same - they just dont tell it to you upfront.

So that's the new business motto now. Sell only 80% of the game, and then sell the other 20% as a season pass then we all get new pools.

Or we all could just hold off buying the game and wait for the GOY Edition with everything in it for one last sales push.

Look I'm all for DLC, expansion packs, etc, that come out because the developers are still working on extending the game AFTER it's been released because 1) they love the game and still have ideas for it or 2) fans are begging for more. But when a game is designed and created and then a developer goes, "oh, you know, we don't HAVE to include these 60 cars, these 10 multiplayer maps, these 3 characters, we can just release this stuff for a RIPOFF price over the course of a couple of months! It'll make the fans THINK we are taking that time to work on them even though it's already made and often time on the disc they bought anyway, just locked!" DLC is getting worse and worse.

This is what I hate about DLC now. It's gotten to the point where a developer PLANS to release parts of the game through DLC before the game is even out. The way it used to work is that the game would be released, then if fans were found clamoring for more and/or the developers still had other ideas that just never made the cut in the final game, they would build said ideas and release it via DLC. Now, games are developed, and we are shipped a not finished product, essentially. They are now PURPOSELY leaving stuff out, in this case for example 60 cars! It sounds like they've probably already designed, and even created the actually cars in-game. They could've easily fit the extra cars into the game. But nope, they plan to release them, slowly, pack by pack, over the course of a few months to string players along. Are you telling me that to get the full game, which I should be getting to begin with since they CLEARLY already have this stuff designed and what not, it would cost me $90? And that's WITH this supposed DISCOUNT! Bulls*&^

I am actually for paid dlc when it is worth it 30 $ for cars only (okay 60 of them ) Still plus the price of the game you spent 100 $ to go around in circle in a bunch of different cars ! i will pass thank you very much !

The more that sheep buy into this nonsense the more it will become a standard. The ONLY way to send a clear message to companies is to simply NOT buy it. It's the only way other game companies will se that this is a bad idea and they should just make a game loaded with extra content from the start of your purchase, Not half a game at full price then nickel and dime you for the rest.. I see the game industry crashing very soon if this nonsense continues..

Hey folks, its DLC you do not have to buy it at all if you do not want to. Or you can stick with Mario Carts and be happy with yourself. Not a big fan of this either but if your into racing, you matter as well cash in and save some money in the long run. Really wish all this DLC crap would just be included in the game when you buy it in the 1st place, but life is tough.

This is not how you treat your gamers, expect this to be a nail on the coffin for it. I'mma fan of racing simulators too but even if this game was 20 dollars I wouldn't buy it because of what they're doing right now. DLC should be free, but greedy publishers and developers are completely controlled by the profit motive. They don't even understand that a higher entity has taken over their minds at this point.

@Hig1134 It's DLC, I don't see the issue, there are plenty of games on the 360 that charge for DLC why should Turn 10 not be able to do the same thing? The packs are being spread over about 5 months so it isn't like they just cut all of the planned content from the initial game and are forcing you to pay more for it.

So you have to pay for the game, pay to be online to download the pack, and pay $30 for the pack.....brutal!

@steelmouth It hasnt happened yet,but judging by these latest DLC crap,we will be there soon.Also,keep in mind how every day one DLC is cut out from the game,and sometimes when DLC integrates itself in a game too well,like Sebastian in DA2 or those two AC2 missions,you can easily tell it was cut directly from the game.

This is how they hide the fact that games are more than 60$ now if you want the full package. First online passes, now "if you pay extra up front, we will give you a discount on the obscene amount of DLC to come!"

whats this crap about developers removing some stuff from games so they release it as DLC,what makes you think that stuff was originally in the game,did the developer say that huh? have any of you ever been left hanging with an uncomplete story line from a game and told "To be completed on DLC", no i dnt think so

Let them pay? LET them pay? Like it's some kind of privilege to hand more money over to them for something that should have been in the game to begin with? If I were actually getting this game, I might be insulted.

It's just an add-on guys and besides doesn't Forza 4 already have over 400 cars. That should be more than enough for you guys.

noone said you gota buy it.....50 cents a car aint a bad deal....and guaranteed content addons is nice i hate games that come out and come out with one dlc then they give up on it

Remember when you got a whole game when you paid the full price at the store? Those were they days, it seems. I mean 30 dollars up front? That's 50% more on top of the brand new price, and I can guarantee you won't get 50% more content. Save your money and spend it on a different game, instead.

Just waiting for Capcom to do the same thing with their fighting games....... only they'll cover games like SFIV and MVC, but cost $50.

Hum, I guess it is good that I still haven't finished Forza 2. I'll just finish that. By then I'll be sick of the 8 tracks they put in it again. Someday I might get Forza 3 - but I think I have moved on from Forza. Good thing too - I hate supporting games with planned expansion packs to make you pay more for them.

Glad I sold back the 360 yesterday and pre-ordered Dark Souls, Team ICO Collection, Arkham City and Skyrim. No bs in these games.

No wonder I only have one 360 game right now... high prices and scams. -_-

This DLC crap now days is really making me want to just buy an old school console and play that...at least the games were fully done and not half done and released as DLC 2 months later....
