Fortune Hunters' Club DLC program plundering Uncharted 3
Naughty Dog rolling out Season Pass initiative granting seven pieces of add-on content for $25; first release due in November.
Season passes for post-release downloadable content are a growing trend, and the latest studio to subscribe to this strategy is Naughty Dog. Today, the studio announced that players will be able to prepurchase add-on content for the PlayStation 3-exclusive Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception at a discount through the Fortune Hunters' Club.
The Fortune Hunters' Club DLC program is priced at $25, and it includes the first four multiplayer map packs and first three multiplayer skin packs for Uncharted 3. In its PlayStation Blog post announcing the program, Naughty Dog noted that the seven pieces of content bought individually will cost $45.
Those who preorder the Fortune Hunters' Club pack will receive instant access to an Uncharted 3 background theme for the PS3. Naughty Dog also said that the first piece of add-on content for Uncharted 3 will be available in November. Players will be notified of this release, as well as all others that come as part of the Fortune Hunters' Club, via an XMB message sent to their PS3 accounts.
Uncharted 3 is due for release on November 1. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
