First look: Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction
European publisher BBC Multimedia releases new screenshots from the GBA version of Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction.
BBC Multimedia has released first screenshots of the GBA version of Robot Wars. The game brings together elements of the TV show so players can design and build their own robots and have them battle in arenas, which are built in full 3D on the Game Boy Advance. The GBA arenas include a desert outpost, a subzero station, an iron foundry, and an acid factory. While the PC and Xbox versions feature split-screen mode, the GBA offers multiplayer modes via the link cable. The GBA version also includes an interesting feature that enables players to trade rare weapons and useful robot body parts with other players via the link cable. The ultimate goal behind this mode is to find and collect all the pieces to the mythical gold robot.
The game is scheduled to ship in November. A US release hasn't been announced.
