THQ releases information on its next cartoon-inspired action game for the GBA. First screens inside.

THQ has today released information on Fairly OddParents: Enter the Cleft, an action game for the GBA based on the Nickelodeon cartoon of the same name. In the game, players will assume the role of 10-year-old Timmy Turner's superhero alias and sidekick to the Crimson Chin, Cleft the Boy Chin Wonder. The Crimson Chin has been kidnapped, and it's up to Cleft, along with his fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, to rescue him.

The game will be split into five distinct areas consisting of more than 20 levels, including Comic World, Primitive Age, Present World, and Future World. As players progress though the game they'll get to interact with numerous characters from the TV show and have access to a number of the power-ups that Cleft stores in his superhero chin, including a baseball bat, a skateboard, a rope, a gyro, and a megaphone.

Enter the Cleft is scheduled for release in North America on November 4 and in Europe in February 2003. We'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
