Final Fantasy VII rereleased for PS3, PSP

Have you guys ever wondered; that if they didn't make any spin offs, off of the main series then they probably would have FF7 remake finished in a few years?

ok i think we should just start a fundraiser.. raise money for square-enix to make the game.. even though they dont need us to, but then they can just make the game for free!!! i mean im sure we can raise enough money considering the FF heads out there(me included)!!!!

hd version of ff 7 would be nice, all pictures, videos, charakter design in hd would be a reason to buy it again for 50$+, and i am sure millions of other ff fans would do that too. Some Extra content could be nice too, like 2 or 3 more weapons, some extra summons or something like that. They should do the same with 8. But i am not sure what i want more, just a HD Version or a remake, so it would be nice to have various ways to play the game, like originial, hd, hd remake, (maybe) changed fighting controls with more interaction or so and togehter with that a Multiplayer option to play with friends - wouldn't that hit the 10,0 score. Guess every FF fan would like to have it more than a new one. If they would make aspecial edition i would buy it 4 times on the first day.

use the FF13 Engine, no HD version bla bla crap please!?

Lol this is such a long time ago article. Enix did mention about remaking FF7 for PS3 like 3 years ago or something. And they are maybe finally gonna do it. My friends didn't believe me though and thought I was lying. Now there is gonna be proof for them. I don't wanna buy FF7 though because I have the PSX original.

It is good that Sony has put FF7 in the Playstation Store because it is simply one of the top games of PSX. I assume it will be upscaled and smoothed also because of PS3's game settings in the xmb. @nomadfutureman u dont need ps3 to get this on ur psp, u just need to download sony's Media Go to ur pc

i got final fantasy 7 on the ps3 and coppied it over to the psp. when i play the game it loads but when u get to the first fight when you get of the train at midgar it comenses the battle but then the screen goes all crazy and crashes. anyone know what i can do to stop this and fix it?

First of all, I live in Iceland, and well I am trying to buy a PSP second hand because it's much cheaper and a PS3 costs as much as 623 dollars here (I calculated the price) and I think that if I can get my hands on a PSP, a memory stick, Crisis Core and Dissidia when it gets released, I am going to be one happy gus!!!!!

Is there anything new added to the psp/ps3 version tehn the original? cant seem to find anything about it

Awesome! I never played FFVII before. I've only played Crisis Core & Dirge of Cerberus and watched the Last Order OVA & Advent Children.

i would buy this game, even the day it came out, but my brother is the one that owns the "Sony" consoles, both the ps3 and psp. Before I met FFVII (which was about 3 months ago) i was a Nintendo fan, but I did buy the FFVII box set and the blue ray and crisis core- which was worth the fight and begging, but alas my brother lent me the psp. But i am doing my best to buy FFVII products so they can get the money (btw my mom says they are becoming billionares and well me the opposite) but in hopes that the will remake it! Currently I'm saving for a ps2 becuz that's the only console i don't own, and well i want to get dirge of cerberus

people who have PS3s and love FF7 please buy this stuff. Who knows, with the boosted sale of this thing Squeenix might give the remake a shot. Or not. But I'm happy I bought the thing. Now I can finally bring justice to the game. And not that you would want to know, but my brother abused my copy of the game by writing my name on the CD using a mechanical pencil...WITHOUT THE LEAD, ON THE SIDE WHERE THE DATA IS AT. And I was about at the end...(hwo cruel) I haven't finished the game since then, but now...I'll be happy to repeat it all over again just so I can finish this once and for all.

What I don't get is why people (one of my friends mostly) is pissed that it's not a complete remake. Why the f*** does it matter, this is the first time I can have FF7 on the go and that's more then enough for me. From what I've heard a complete remake wouldn't even come out till after 13 is complete so this more keep me tide over until then

okay so is this a slight remake or just a re-release of the ps1 original, either way OH YEAH for everyone who doesn't still have a copy of the original, im still playing the original on my ps1 with GameShark baby cuz after the first time playing it, I did not wanna have a crap load of random battles again.

i downloaded for my ps3 and my psp but I really wanted the remake to be confirmed.... the remake i wanted most was this one because it's the best game i ever played(cause of the story most) and i'm trying to imagine how it would be like to play ff7 from the begining with advent children videos like and battle system like ff13...it would be a masterpiece...some people says that it would be on of the first games that it will be released with ps4 like nintendo did with zelda on wii so the new console of sony will make the required sales in it's first period of release...but who knows...someday we will find out....i hope....

Crap! After I spent $40 bucks and proposed the game should be digital so it can be downloaded and played until a remake happens. I think they will remake it. The only original games that haven't been remade is VII, VIII, and IX.

About frakking time SquEnix decided to make this. Too bad you guys missed the date. If only you released it two years ago, in time for its ten-year anniversary, then my previous prediction (which I never uttered online until now) of "Ef-Ef-Seven in Oh-Seven" would have been true. Ah well. And you better make dayumed sure it works with both the new and old PSP!

i'm absolutely sure it will be remade at some point in time, all developers look at their back catalogue from time to time, specially SE. I wonder though if the amount of sales of this would spur them onto doing it sooner than later.

finally i can play the best final fantasy game and the best ps game out there on my ps3 and hopefully people wont see cloud as tha guy in kingdom of hearts they almost ruined ff7 i just hope they dont remake the game keep it as it is we dont need a bunch of kids saying they want this and this and get rid of this. keep it as its is

Where do you get the FFVII download from?

There is a retail video of final fantasy VII. A tech demo.. I hope it wil be something like that :) But it was on time that they finaly released it for playstation 3.

Sony should have made a bigger deal of this at their press conference and why didnt they mention Dissidia.

I too can't understand the reason why they don't remake the best FF game.They did it with the first 2 games to psp and all the others to DS so why they don't remake it or at least add new content,refresh it along with FF 8 and 9 and released it both ways- downloadable and UMD discs-so those who can't have an internet access can play it too.Maybe they think it won't sell???It would be an easy way to make money

@teknicz - Soo.. are you saying that fans of FF VII should downgrade their opinion of the game's influence on the industry because your "grandparents" don't know who Cloud is? I mean.. you overanalyzing it is every bit as fanboyish as the hardcore FF fans you accuse. People love the game and regardless of whatever ratings people like you can come up with over a decade since it came out does not change the fact that it did have a degree of influence on the industry.. GET OVER IT.
