SE needs to bring some of these hi-res ports somewhere other than those damn (cr)Apple products. Why can't you bring these over to the 3DS/PSP/Vita? SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Final Fantasy V coming to iOS

Square Enix bringing role-playing game to iTunes, along with more titles to follow.
Final Fantasy V is headed to iOS, Square Enix has revealed at the end of the new trailer (below) coinciding with Final Fantasy IV's launch on iTunes yesterday.
No release date for Final Fantasy V on iOS was provided. Further, the trailer teases that additional Final Fantasy games are also in development for Apple products.
Final Fantasy IV came to iOS yesterday for $16, one week after Theatrhythm Final Fantasy hit the virtual storefront as a free download with paid expansions available.

Really is that all, that is all you have to report gamespot and E Makuch. Instead of news editor you are basically a twitter editor. My brother posts more info regarding his bathroom results then this.
You could at least asked square if there will be any upgrades, changes, or future ports. Even if square gave a no comment, google some facts or semi facts (like fox news) about future installments, past games, history, projections- not what you seen from a trailer.
I mean give us more than what you could quickly copy and paste during the break between mw3 matches. That is shameful to call this a newsfeed. I mean I am not expecting gaming news journalism like 1UP, or a gaming mag (which is not much) but at least a few facts and figures to take this 'soundbite' into context.
A trailer review is just not news.
1 Like Mobile revolution? SERIOUSLY?They're just re-releasing DS/PSP games (that were actually remakes from older games) and they dare to call that a revolution. That must be a joke and I still don't get it.
Ever since playing it on DS I always wished I could play it in a higher resolution. This should be pretty nice.
Stop remaking this garbage and give us what we want... FF7 remake! For those thinking it wouldn't be as good as before because the remake would add voice acting, why not be able to just turn the voice acting off and play it with subtitles? Square really needs to wake up and make it happen
@Metallicwolf29 I haven't heard that complaint before, and I thought the voice acting in Crisis Core and Advent Children was great. Yours is a good solution for those it does bother though. But it really shouldn't, I mean, FFVII isn't like legend of zelda where the unspeaking protagonist is part of it's charm and tradition.
@Nexozable @Metallicwolf29 and dude, have you played the game? I'm genuinely interested in hearing what you didn't like.
FF games on iOS are just too expensive! SE games on that platform are some of the most expensive game apps! I don't care about how many man hours or resources that SE put in to make these games possible and available. It's all about accessibility! Their games should be priced $10 or less and be on sales from time to time.
You can argue that if I feel SE games are too expensive, then don't buy them! That's exactly what I am doing. I don't buy them! I will wait until they drop down to the reasonable price range. I can live without them!
@HappyBB I like to get things cheap too... but that doesn't mean they don't have value. $16 for FFIV on iPad is really a great deal. Some others may be overpriced, but most are pretty fair. You can have fun with $0.99 games and some are great, but there is a quality difference reflected in the price generally. I will pay more for for robust games.
Does anyone know if FFIV had any enhancements from other remakes or was it just a port of the SNES original?
Wasn't FF7 supposed to be re-released with updates and bug fixes for the PC some time ago? I haven't heard anything else about it since the summer.
@nurse_tsunami it was released but it was basically just a downloadable version of 7 that they originally released for the PC
@Statickxl @nurse_tsunami I think they fixed some bugs, not sure though. The rest of the game was definitely left unchanged, I got it off PSN
FFIV (DS) is the greatest FF remake ever. I wish they could make more stuff like that, specially FFVII-IX for the new-gen consoles with, of course, enhanced graphics.
Another piece of shit article by gamespot stop assuming it means ff V on ios when it could just as easily be pointing to it on 3ds.
1 Like @Stealth_Knight_It's a perfectly logical assumption seeing that it says 'mobile', not portable, and that it comes at the end of a trailer for another iOS game. Either way I'd be happy (It's my favourite of the series), but they do have evidence for the iOS release.
Square Enix simply does what they do best. Just doing so many ports for newer system whilst being so lazy with the new sequals. *sigh*
@AQWBlaZer91 The company is sinking and they have to do remakes endlessly to get money. Their staff can't do awesome games like past eras anymore...
@AQWBlaZer91 it's not so much that they are being lazy with current RPGs, they just don't have the same genius minds on the staff anymore. The company is shambles because all the geniuses have gone to MISTWALKER and the team that made Xenoblade etc. Basically any QUALITY JRPG that comes out nowadays has bits and pieces of the talent from the glory days of squaresoft.
I'm hoping that Final Fantasy V is a Matrix remake, but seeing as how they're working on Bravely Default and its sequel, I doubt it :\
They need to lower the price for this game and and of the other ff games that they r bringin out
I'm hoping FFVI comes out for it and they go the direction they did with FFIV Complete Collection for the PSP and also release it on the PSN for the PsVita and the 3ds's download service for maximum monies.
1 Like FFIV has been re-released on like every device you can think of. It's about time they brought out another one. I don't know why they have always been stuck on this version.

1 Like I played FF4 on GBA but just made the 20% of the story. Then I got it on PSP and made it like 60% of the story. And now I might get this one to really finish the game. At least the game will be in 3D.
its about time publishers start to put games onto devices like this. Now i'm waiting for pokemon to come to iOS devices
