FIFA Street dribbles in to stores
EA Big's street-smart soccer game features flashy footwork in four-on-four football.
The Beautiful Game just got a little gritty. Electronic Arts today announced that FIFA Street is now available for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. The latest title from EA Sports Big was developed by the company's studio across the border: EA Canada in Vancouver.
FIFA Street drops the stringent rules of professional soccer in favor of an urban-flavored take on the sport. Taking place in 10 global venues, including New York City and Amsterdam, FIFA Street encourages over-the-top acrobatic maneuvers and hard-nosed tackles.
The game is the third franchise in EA Big's Street series, which tipped off with NBA Street and continued with the wall-climbing antics of NFL Street. NBA Street V3 was released earlier this month, and NFL Street 2 kicked off last December. Both games are available on the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube.
FIFA Street is rated "E" for Everyone and sells for $39.99. GameSpot's full review of the game will be posted tomorrow. In the meantime, check out the game's previous coverage.
