I want it! Just finished the first one again...looking for the Norton Mapes Easter Eggs will suck up time till this comes out.

I love the physics in this game....I think the Havok engine is a good match to the Unreal Engine 3

i just watched the 18+ minute demo of the game in action and all i can say is when this game releases it shall be mine......FEAR was amazing on both PC and 360 and i am absolutely looking forward to this amazing follow-up

I always though the F.E.A.R. Acronym was kinda silly. Project Origin looks to further the wonder that F.E.A.R. was. I played extraction point and was dissapointed with the lack of storyline, which P.O. promises to cater to the mysteries of Point Man (he has a name now?)

Hmm, well, i'd say its not the best name i've ever heard but it definitely makes perfect sense, since Project Origin is a big part of the game.So it's not bad.

This is very good FPS with wicked story and i think the name is not very good.I was expecting something darker.However i belive in this game and i hope we will see SOMETHING REALLY GOOOOOOD AND BETTER THEN FIRST FEAR. -I CAN`T WAIT-

Talk about taking a very cool name!(Both as fear and an abreviation) and coming up with something so generic ,simplistic and boring most people wouldnt care to check the page to see its a sequel to a great game!All that effort creating FEAR and making its name recognized ,now to do it again with this uber-Lame-name.in fact if theyd come up with that name it was better,ULN,UBER-LAME-NAME

For the people Saying they should have No One Lives Forever 3 I think they would also have to change the name if they are able to make it because the Publisher of that franchise also published F.E.A.R. and if Monolith can't use the F.E.A.R. name in the Sequal they can't use the No One Lives Forever name in the sequal if they make one.

The name isn't too bad... I was kind of expecting something a darker title. I just hope this game lives well up past the first game.

Project Origin? After holding a contest to find a name the best they come up with is Project Origin? If i didnt read this article then id never know that Project Origin is in fact FEAR 2 and i wouldnt even care about that game.

That's all fine and good, but "Project Origin" does NOT evoke any images whatsoever of "frenetic action", Asian horror (the worst kind)", "apocalypse" or even "gore". Still, the game will rock, as most every game by Monolith has.

That's the best name? Project Origin? Do they want help making it too? Enough creativity to make a game, not enough to come up with a name. Never got to play through the first so that's why I don't recognize the name (as I have gathered). Oh well, name doesn't matter it's the game I want.

F.E.A.R was probably the most overhyped FPS in history. I had to force myself to finish it. It`s production value wasnt that great, its story was cliche, its gameplay was annoying (how it relied so much on bullet time for one), how it got like a 9.0 (i think?) is a mystery. I dont think i played the same game as everyone else.

F.E.A.R. was one of the very many great games to hit 360 and project origin i'm sure will be 10x better

I remember when Gamepark holdings held a naming contest for their handheld (the gp2x). The name it was before was the GPX2... and after a few months of entries... guess what -- they named it GP2X... Since then, I have avoided all kinds of naming contests... they didn't want any periods in the name.. like T.H.I.S.. no entrants except from America and the name should not resemble the last game... ? So how are people going to know what it is related to if you can't call it ANYTHING like the original.. and also, entries only allowed from America... :( Its like HALO looking to create a Halo 4 but not calling it anything like halo, or refer to the actual first 3 games... its a hard thing to do. And I reckon that the name F.E.A.R was probably the most memorable names of that time for a game. People recognise the periods in the title - so they will probably have to change their marketing completely in order for people to realise that project origin is an actual sequel. I remember the F.E.A.R game for having those combat guys on the front, and then introducing that horror twist. It did that with the title perfectly. But project origin kind of just draws it into the horror genre. The fact that fear did so well before was that it was a common FPS at heart - but introduced scary elements into it. I "fear" now that people will look at the name and ignore it as being a god-like FPS game, and just compare it to games like the darkness - you know, games in that genre.

I think theres nothing wrong with a semi-sequel... No matter the name people that liked FEAR will stay up to date with the "FEAR2" and will now the name of it. The game is really great and I think the "sequel" is gonna be of the same quality, but, of course even better... Cant wait.

Where's NOLF 3. Need NOLF 3. Just played NOLF1 again, need NOLF 3! FACT: If you look in the FEAR tools, there is NOLF related stuff in there, such as a banner, and some small props/characters. They want to make a NOLF 3, MAKE A NOLF 3 PLEASE!

Too bad they did not use acronym for the title. Even though not all of Monolith game name use acronym but for me the acronym is what makes their game memorable (I still sometime forget that Shogo, Condemned, and Blood were made by Monolith, but I never forget that F.E.A.R and N.O.L.F were made by Monolith).

F.E.A.R was meh... Monolith needs to get to work on No one lives forever 3 already...Or even an AVP3

This game wil bring more questions or more answers ? I hope Project Origin explane more about Alma's dark life and her past . I realy exited about her.

The name is great if it actually pertains to the story. The fact that that the community came up with the name and NOT the developer, who happens to be creating the game, is a bit unsettling. The name "project origin" implies alot concerning the story of this next installment and my worst F.E.A.R. is that the name will have nothing to do with the game and the continued story that everyone wants to know more about. I'll keep an eye on this one with high hopes.

Rob_101, inluding F.E.A.R in the title would incur a lawsuit against the company. They have lost the rights to the 'F.E.A.R' name, meaning they cant use it in the game title, thus why renaming the series Project Origin.

semi-sequel?!? This better be a full sequel (F.E.A.R. 2). Why don't they call it F.E.A.R. Origins or F.E.A.R.: Project Origin? Keep the F.E.A.R. name and capitalize on that. If people see Project Origin on store shelves they'll think "hhmm I'm not sure what to think of that, never heard of it before, don't want to risk my money on a possibly crappy game". But if they see F.E.A.R.: Project Origin they'll think "oh I remember playing F.E.A.R. (or seeing/hearing about it at friends/whatever), that game was sick this is probably pretty good." Never the less, I can't wait!

"pseudo-sequel"? I think they mean "Real sequel", as "F.E.A.R. 2" will not have any of the original's characters. THIS is the true sequel, just like Crysis is the true sequel to Far Cry.

I really enjoyed the original F.E.A.R. I really hope the second one lives up to the first.

Let's hope both companies' pseudo-sequels carry on the continuity of the original game in some way. Please, no **** reboot or retcons!
