@SandRunneR Everyone needs to get over the fact that Ironside will not be voicing Sam. I didn't play SC to listen to a grizzled old voice in my ear, I played to enjoy fun stealth gameplay. Just because the actor is gone that doesnt mean it still can't be a great game.
$9.99/£7.99 DLC pack makes web of preorder DLC available to all.
Ubisoft has released the Far Cry 3 Deluxe Bundle DLC for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, giving players access to all of the game's various preorder incentives in exchange for $9.99/£7.99.
The deluxe bundle dishes out The Lost Expeditions Pack, previously available to those who preordered in the UK or with Best Buy, alongside GameStop's Monkey Business Pack, Amazon's Warrior Pack, and Walmart's Predator Pack. Gamers won't need to buy any of it if they have the UK-specific Insanity Edition, however, as it already contained all of the preorder content.
All of these packs combined give players six single-player missions, including Hurk and his bevy of bomb-carrying monkeys, four new animals (mountain lion, thylacine, white tiger, and red vulture), alongside the tribal knife and Hunter’s M700 Predator.
Over on the multiplayer side of things, players will get the Type-10 flare/shotgun and the Predator bow.
Far Cry 3 was one of last year's most celebrated games, scoring a 9.0 in its GameSpot review.
@wwfwwe It only last a total of 15 minutes and the missions are pretty meh, you get plenty of XP's though
@wwfwwe I love FC3 but the bonus DLC missions were pretty much MEH. I wouldn't rush out to buy this.
@wwfwwe I have all of the DLC when i purchased the limited edition.
Honestly while I think it does add a bit more content, I would never actually pay for it.
It has barely any of the charm which made the single player missions so great and is more in line with the other side quests already available.
@wwfwwe Well, the lost expeditions are pretty fun, one of them links to another very famous Ubisoft game, which is pretty awesome...
This pre-order bonus exclusivity then pre-order bonus DLC post launch s**t needs to stop right now! What's the point in pre-ordering when all the different pre-order bonus stuff from the different retailers will be released in one DLC pack? I think it would be better if you would get all the pre-order bonus items from every retail chain and if you didn't pre-order, then you could get the DLC full of pre-order items AT NO CHARGE POST LAUNCH!!!
@J4m3sR4n0r72 This is how game industry worked out. Those who cannot resist the temptation of new good game will have to buy all those DLC. For those who are patience, they usually can get all DLC in one game - usually the new edition of the release such as the Game of The Year Edition (not applied for all games).
IMO, its fair enough with this system. Those who have the money but not patience, can buy DLC. Those who have less money, but patient enough can buy the new edition/complete edition of the game. BUT remember, the toll for getting complete game edition is HIGH. Patience is really hard to come by for most people, especially when it comes to Great games such as Grand theft auto.
@bukankhadam I agree with the patience argument but some of hat goes out the window when dealing with multiplayer content which has a shorter shelf life IMO. Single payer only dlc, i can wait forever but if the multiplayer means that much to you it makes it hard to justify the cheaper cost later if no one is populating the multiplayer lobbies except hardcore fans.
@bukankhadam Usually but we have seen a lot of games not release GOTY or Ultimate editions. ME2 was a notable one missing one.
I have to admit, I'm a sinner. I haven't played Far Cry 3 yet and I feel guilty whenever I sit down wasting my time studying.. :(
Here's what I don't get, I mean I get it, just pisses me off, why games are coming out with DLC content only if you buy the delux or better edition, how about you just release the f-cking game with the content you are charging for, you are already charging far to much for current new releases so why be greedy, maybe if you made some decent games you wouldn't have to rip your customers off.
@boomer0901 Far Cry 3 seems decent and fun.
this is why i wait. i stop buying games on release. so really its funny, they are hurting their own business!
@davetbeau Supposedly it's going on through Saturday morning, which is really frustrating, since it was supposed to have finished by now.
Yeah I've been wondering this myself... :(
7.99 British pounds is 12,68 dollars, which makes me glad that I'm not living in the UK, although the Steam prices in Europe are in Euros and the price is usually almost as many Euros as dollars for a game sold in the US. Anyway, I'm gonna wait for a GotY edition with all DLC included if I decide to buy this.
Planning on finally firing this one up for a loooong weekend of sofa sitting and cheeto chomping.
It will be glorious.. in my mind. The look of the scene will not be pretty, but damn it will be fun.
All this stuff came with the Digital Deluxe version that I purchased on Steam. No need for me to buy this DLC.
£8 is pretty hefty, not that it bothers me as I bought the Insanity Edition. But why is this news worthy?
I'm more interested in the Dinosaur DLC that is spreading like wildfire, and possibly Co-op DLC for PC and 360. God knows why they made it exclusive to PS3.
