Evolution Worlds ships
Ubi Soft announces that its epic RPG for the GameCube is now in stores across North America.
Ubi Soft has announced that its RPG Evolution Worlds has shipped to stores in North America. The game, which combines the two Dreamcast games Evolution and Evolution , is the first traditional RPG to be released on the GameCube.
"The Evolution series was such a huge hit on the Dreamcast system; we know gamers are anxious to check out Evolution Worlds on the Nintendo GameCube," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing for Ubi Soft Entertainment. "By combining both Evolution and Evolution 2, Evolution Worlds is a two-game-in-one bargain that the RPG-starved Nintendo GameCube audience will jump at."
The game boasts a number of improvements on the two Dreamcast games it's based on, not the least of which is the addition of voice acting for almost all the 100 major cast members. The key characters in the game are Mag Launcher and Linear Cannon, who, along with friends including the equally lethal sounding Gre Nade and Chain Gun, are charged with saving the world from evil forces by uncovering the truth behind an ancient piece of weaponry known as Evolutia.
An interesting feature of Evolution Worlds are its randomly generated dungeons, which are different every time players enter them. For more information, check out our Evolution of the game.
