Thomas Was Alone also coming to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita at the end of the month.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced the April lineup of games for subscribers of its premium PlayStation Plus service for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
PlayStation Plus owners will get access to Okami HD, The Cave, and The Lord of the Rings: War in the North starting April 3. The trio will replace Mass Effect 3, Mortal Kombat, and Guardians of Middle-earth.
Over on the PS Vita, intriguing adventure Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward will be available from April 10, replacing Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
Finally, BAFTA-winning indie platformer Thomas Was Alone will arrive on April 24 for both the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
Sony also mentions that anyone who purchases or renews a 12-month subscription from now until April 10 will receive an additional 90 days of membership as a bonus.

Say what you want about the PSN but that $70 a year has so far gotten me Crysis, Crysis 2, Batman Arkham city, sleeping Dogs, Okami, Killzone, Mass effect 3, Walking dead 1 free and the other 4 at $4 a pop, Outland, vanquish, red dead redemption and Hitman coming next month and at least 20 others. My XBOX live........let me play games online.
I've played games for over 3 decades, of all genres and Okami is one of the best games ever made imo.

i was gonna buy okami hd for £16 now i dont need to . thanks sony and been wanting to play the cave. nice little easter gifts. on an off topic note Need for Speed Most Wanted U is out and it eats the xbox 360 and ps3 versions for breakfast, kinda makes those look like we got sold a beta last year.
Okami is an outstanding game, I remember the first time I finished it on the ps2 the feeling of accomplishment was so fulfilling, dropped a tear or 2 with the ending. I think I played it like 5 times after that, and I would be willing to get it for the ps3

damn the europe playstation plus games rock! I'm subscribed to both the US and EU PS+ services, I think I won't be subscribing to the US PS+ when it ends next month, games are sh*t as hell, I keep my EU PS+ Subscribtion
I keep meaning to get Okami again, but I've already finished it on two other formats; maybe April will be the moment to use the 30 day PSN plus trial that came in GOW? Hmm. I ought to finish that too...but I got bored.

2 Like I have ps plus since oktober and it's my best investment yet on the ps3. Best service unless you already buy lots of games.
@jourideblaere Its even better if you buy lots of games. My subscription pays for itself in game discounts alone. The free games are just a bonus.
1 Like @BadgerSnot okami was originally exclusive to Sony on the playstation 2 it did come out some years later for the wii but the HD version for ps3 is based on the original version and it looks beautiful.

1 Like @BadgerSnot Well, it's up to Capcom if they want to release Okami HD on Wii U, and not what you think is "fair". Okami was Game of the Year in 2006 on PS2.

Ugh... because Okami is made by Capcom a 3rd party developer... Nintendo is a 1st party developer, they made Mario and they make their own systems. So why would they put their own game on a rival system?

@aman579 Gamers who really only played games on the 360 and PS3 don't know much about these kinds of games, it is all FPS games now.
Games like Okami and JRPG games used to be extremely common on the PS2, good era.

@Toysoldier34 @queuing_for_PS4 @jcnba28 @aman579 regardless of what people like to think of nintendos wii-u it IS A FACT that its more powerful than current gen. just look at need for speed most wanted u and try and compare the ps4 version of watchdogs with the wii-u version. even the pad displays the same graphic detail as the ps4 version.
@jcnba28 @queuing_for_PS4 @aman579 why dos someone always have to bring up cod as a comparison. nintendo always bring something new with mario they dont use the same engine very year. thats why sunshine is completely different to galaxy and why super mario 3d land is completely different to paper mario. regardless of were okami came from the HD version is the definitive version and the end result is probly what capcom initially set out to accomplish.

@queuing_for_PS4 I really wish they made more announcements as to what games will be going free. Makes people hesitant to buy a game if they think it may go free.

@whalesex @Shango4 @FuzailAhmed56 Sorry i differ, it depends of the time really, the last 3 months only whiners were crying on the PS blog requesting unrealistic stuff, in march we got really good content with spec ops the line and disgaea 3 for Vita.

Maybe that plays a part of why.
