ESPN NFL 2K5, Freedom Fighters lead 360 BC update
Microsoft updates backward-compatibility list with 80-plus games, bringing total to more than 450.
When the Xbox 360's major fall dashboard update arrives next week, gamers will be able to download a select number of original Xbox games for $15. However, that doesn't mean Microsoft is abandoning backward-compatibility software emulation outright. The publisher today added more than 80 games to the Xbox 360's backward-compatibility list, which brings the total number of original Xbox games playable on Microsoft's current-generation system to more than 450.
One of the largest updates yet, today's addition includes a number of well-reviewed legacy games. Notable additions include Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Burnout 2: Point of Impact, Colin McRae Rally 2005, ESPN NFL 2K5, and Freedom Fighters. The update also includes a number of annualized sports titles from EA and Take-Two.
See below for a complete list of newly added backward-compatible games. A full list of games is available on Microsoft's official site.
