Epic "addressing" Gears of Wars 3 campaign leak

@Lotus-Edge I'm a fan of the series but NOT the multiplayer (which was filled with host exploits, massive connectivity issues, bad CSHD, and a bug list that could fill half this page). I'm not diagnosed with fan boy cancer for anything, I always stay open minded. There is a difference between a "fanboy" and a "fan". GoW3 is a lot better than gow2 and I never said GoW3 was awesome..I said it was a large improvement...I've played the Gow3 beta and racked over 100,000 kills on gow2, I'm sure I have solid ground for my opinion. Dedicated servers, improved engine, new modes, refined modes & gameplay mechanics, celebrity cast of voice actors, new weapons, 4 player story co-op...the list goes on. You can simply take a glance at GoW3 then gow2 and the differences are extremely obvious If you call that marginal for a sequel than you're on crack. And obviously they built on Gears of War 2 DURRR thats why its called Gears of War 3.

@BURGERgio Agreed, does not matter how much people want to deny it; that is exactly what happens. why do they think most of AAA games only go on consoles when a PC port is easier?. A lot of PC players (not all, of course) are the ones killing PC gaming.

@Raizeen: Gears does not deserve to be on PC anymore. You guys do too much torrent downloads and hacking. Don't get me wrong i like the PC but you guys exploit too many things.

@RitsukoEX how about you read the message of the person I responded to. Playing cracked PS3 games online is almost impossible now since they have started implementing required checks in place in addition to firmware requirements. The 360 has had online enabled cracked games from almost day one due to DVD drive exploits. I can clearly tell you didn't read the message I was responding to ... -_-

@Chaoscomando32 I'll gladly support them if it's comes to PC. lol, but since Epic messed it up with PC community, and never released Gears 2 for PC, I'll gladly use pirated copy (at some extent.) since I didn't have any 360, "lets says I rent it and play it on my friend's gaming system, right" :P ............................................................................................................................... and prices go up isn't always because of piracy, Its because companies have too much control over consumers, well because console market is weak and easily controlled, but being PC users is different, you have bargain point which is made consumers position stronger, some consumers could pirating their products if they didn't do it right. "Although I do agree piracy is bad", (just let you know Epic ruins Gears sequel for PC because Microsoft says so) I'm Epic fans since my childhood back in 2000, now they didn't care about consumer like me "being PC user", then why do I should care about them, right??

come on, like this is supposed to be some kind of mind blowing story anyway...typical fight for humanity, kill a bunch of locusts, destroy their base but leave the ending open for a sequel. add a couple new weapons, enemies, and maps. I don't think the leak uncovers anything more intriguing than what i just mentioned.

I'm an adult now, I pay for the software I like so i can support the people who make it. I also don't mind the people getting rich making great products that I like, people should get paid for the work they do and making games especially great ones like Gears of War isn't easy! I'll wait until September and enjoy the game fully when I put my disk into my Xbox!

Haha, sucks bigtime for epic. What is wrong with the 360? Crap system that anyone can mod and piracy is super rampant on it.

i respect Epic Games & its masterpiece title Gears of War.. there's no way some shtty torrent site is going to make me spoil all the fun Gears of War 3 has to offer.

I'll post it again just 'cuz the Epic jock riders hate it: Deus Ex: Human Revolution gets leaked and gets rave reviews. Pre-orders go up. EIDOS Montreal and Square-Enix not only don't raise a stink, they make a spot on their official forums for their fans to openly discuss the leaked version. GoW3 gets leaked and gets crappy reviews. Epic says: We'z gunna callz teh cops on j00!!!". This is funny, and highlights what gamers have been telling developers all these years: make a good game and people will BUY it.

I did see the all of the game play and no way was the game done. Still a lot of bugs and still a lot of things that needed a good clean up. How ever, I have the $150 pre-order and I'm still getting it. Tell you the truth, the game play stuff made me wanna play it even more! No I did not download anything... Don't ask.

I can't say for certain since i have never played Uncharted, but gears and uncharted both seem like great games but for different reasons. Oh and BEAST MODE!!! YEEAAAAAA

Im waiting for Sept. 20 to play. I love the Gears games and i respect them. i wanna play the full game, not some leaked half-done verson. I can wait like a normal person, not some pathetic hacker who cant leave something alone. Gears 3 FTW!

@Torgue203 There is a reason they pushed it back. If they released it in April, then half the stuff in Gears 3 would be missing, they didnt have enough time. You need to realize that.

@monson21502. The same could be said about all video games. Gaming is a copy cat industry, look at how grand theft auto has been copied directly and indirectly. So to say that Sony is copying Microsoft or vice versa is a joke because the industry as a whole tends to copy anything that's hot with consumers.

Wow the arrogance of PC players is astounding. I am a PC gamer and I apologize for these outbursts. Epic doesn't owe you guys anything at all. Yeah they brought the first game to the PC and didn't continue with it and I don't blame them. They probably made a hell of a lot more money on the 360 also add in the DLC. Sadly yes pirating made them lose sales and finally the PC game is a dying breed. I don't want to admit it because I love my rig and play it all the time. Yet its getting harder and harder to find some quality games on the PC or decent ported games. What happened to epic games is a horrible thing there is no "lesson" or "betrayal" here just some jerk hackers ruining a project that epic has been developing for awhile.

Ha!!! This is great, Epic should have seen this coming. Serves them right. That's what happens when you say things like "Gears 1 and 2 was basically a beta for Gears 3." Jerks. How are you going to wait until the third game to give us independent servers for multiplayer. This is to show epic that they shouldn't be so full of themselves. Lower the prices on your dlc, and support your game from the release. Charging full price on map packs that have two old maps but at a different time of day? Give back to your employees and fans and this wouldn't happen. Gears 3 beta played better than the other two games combined (multiplayer), and that's rediculous.

I have no pity for this situation. Epic decided to release the first game on pc and ran with my money and did not continue to offer the franchise on pc and i felt betrayed because of this....blaming different reasons including piracy on pc and this is a mian reason why they moved to consoles with the game and yet here they are, the very victim of their assumptions that consoles are unhackable... what goes around around comes around Epic! i hope this serves as a lesson to the " we only do games for the console because of piracy thing" crowd. in YO face!

Why do people do the things that they do do?

well not all fanboys r bad, im a sony fanboy an i find this rediculous, video game industry is getting hacked an leaked to death, so we as gamers need to stand together an fight this crap, whether ur a xboxer, a nintendo fanatic or a playstationer!!!

Why is everyone comparing an invasion epic action game to a adventure epic action game? played both... like both... different games completely so focus on the topic! Anyways this is pretty annoying, now means I have to be careful what I search for when keeping up with gears of war 3 development, nobody likes spoilers and I bet it is ripe right now with spoilerific stuff, still cant wait for my epic edition to show up :) gonna be an awesome game regardless.

@GOGOGOGURT Lol well yes but we all know when it comes to power, the pc cant be beat. But lets see a bunch of friends come over and have a great time...watching you play your pc. Because they dont allow party play very easily.

I wouldn't play the leaked version of this game. I would want to wait for final release so that I don't spoil anything for myself. I want to make sure Epic gets my money as they always earn it keep us gamers happy with some kick a$$ sh@#

@jb9776, sure there is competition in video games.. they are fighting over who gets our money... i like that naughty dog and sony are trying to copy ms`s big games like halo and gears in anyway they can.. that gives me something to play on my ps3 besides blu ray and netflix:P after playing both beta for gears and uncharted 3 im gonna be buying gears and rented uc3.. uncharted 3 feels like drake should be wearing skates on his feet. you think after the 3rd time naughty dog would fix the sloppy controls....

Gears Of War is boring. Uncharted is too.
