Empire Earth II demo premieres on GameSpot DLX March 1
Single-player demo for the upcoming PC RTS will feature three epochs and two game types; Web site goes live today.
Good news for gamers looking to get a head start on conquering Earth. The demo for VU Games' upcoming PC real-time strategy title, Empire Earth II, will be premiering on GameSpot DLX next Tuesday. The sequel to 2001's Empire Earth is being developed by Massachusetts-based Mad Doc Software. Empire Earth II hits store shelves April 26.
The single-player demo will let gamers lead one of three civilizations--the Germans, Americans, or Koreans--through three of the game's 15 epochs, including the Renaissance and Age of Enlightenment. There are two games types to choose from: conquest and territory control. The demo will be available on the morning of March 1.
VU Games today also announced the launch of the Empire Earth II Web site. Web surfers can take a peek at several screenshots of the game, as well as video interviews with the game's developers. The site also features downloadable wallpapers, instant messenger icons, and details about each of the game's epochs.
Empire Earth II takes place over 12,000 years and features more than 500 unique units and buildings to aid in players' conquests. Gamers will have to adjust their tactics based on their opponents' actions and changes in the seasons. Online play supports up to 10 players in nine different modes.
Empire Earth II is rated "T" for Teen and will sell for $49.99. For more information on the game, head over to GameSpot's previous coverage.
