EA engineer says 'the Wii U is crap'

Before deleting tweets, senior engineer at Electronic Arts blasts struggling platform, saying "Nintendo are still operating like it's 1990."
One Electronic Arts developer has taken to Twitter to sound off on the struggling Wii U. As spotted by IGN, EA senior software engineer and architect Bob Summerwill did not hold back when expressing his feelings for the platform.
"The Wii U is crap," Summerwill said, before deleting that tweet and all others. "Less powerful than an Xbox 360. Poor online/store. Weird tablet. Nintendo are walking dead at this point."
"Sony, MS, Apple, Google all following the same playbook," he added. "Standard, powerful, hardware, with focus on software and services."
Summerwill suggested that Nintendo should have exited the hardware business and instead shopped around its major titles to Microsoft and Sony.
"Nintendo are still operating like it's 1990," he said. "They should have 'done a Sega' and offered Mario/Zelda as PS4/Durango exclusives. Instead they make this awful console. Just stop it! Just make great games!"
Summerwill has worked at EA in a number of technical roles since 1999.
His comments came a day after EA confirmed that after releasing four games for Wii U, the publisher has no new titles in development for the system. By comparison EA supported the original Wii throughout its lifespan with 78 total games.

i just got a wii not too long ago and i'm sad that i never picked it up sooner. the wii u could be great, however a console can't do well when there aren't any games to play on it XD
@dr_jashugan ps4 owns nothing so far. No gameplay demonstrations or console sightings own nothing except sony fanboy semen splattering over their monitor screens.
1 Like @torrne667 @dr_jashugan wtf r u talkin bout there have been gameplay demonstrations (you should check out a website called youtube), as for xbox1 all we've seen is COD w/ a dog (oh yea and all the bullshit add ons). i have all three systems, though i play my wii, ps3, and pc. scared to touch my 360 as i don't want my 4th xbox to get the rrod, with the 360's horrible launch lineup it's hard to get behind microsoft once again. oh yea and i don't see any semen on my monitor after having said this.
Fuck EA anyway, who cares, Wii U could do without them anyway. They're just hurt because Nintendo told them to fuck off when EA asked if they could implement Origin on the Wii U and rightly so.

The conference was bad because of the TV and other stuff. But the other stuff made it really bad.
M$ making me actually admit that the Wii u looks alot better and i rather give ninten-durrrrrrr my money. I kinda feel bad for picking on NOA for being dumb...but i do not feel bad at all the M$ hate at all, they deserve every bit of it.

I would enjoy the Wii-U more if they actually made games for it. So what if it doesn't wipe your ass, chew your food, or go to work for you. It has potential people just need to make stuff for it....Zombie U was great IMO and I'd love to see more like it.
