EA announces free-to-play Dragon Age mobile spin-off - Report
Heroes of Dragon Age reported to be a combat-focused spin-off of the Dragon Age series for mobile.
EA has announced a new free-to-play Dragon Age title, Heroes of Dragon Age, reports Eurogamer.
The game is described as a combat-focused spin-off, with players building a party of both heroes and monsters from packs of fighters. The game will reportedly "span Dragon Age lore," suggesting cameo appearances from some of the series' main characters and villains.
Heroes of Dragon Age is being developed by EA Capital Games, formerly BioWare Sacramento and KlickNation. No launch date or platforms have been specified.
EA has dabbled in free-to-play before with the series, releasing Dragon Age Legends on Facebook in 2011. The game was retired in June 2012.
BioWare is also working on Dragon Age: Inquisition for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Inquisition will be released in 2014.
