Crystal Dynamics announces release window for reboot Lara Croft game; coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC next year.
LOS ANGELES--Today during Microsoft's 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing, Crystal Dynamics announced that the recently announced Tomb Raider reboot game will ship next fall.
At the show, developer Crystal Dynamics showed a new demo for the game, where a grunting Lara Croft was seen running through wet caverns to escape a crazed and dangerous pursuer.
As for the game, Tomb Raider will be an "origin story." It will tell the tale of how Lara Croft came to be the crafty, nimble adventurer at the center of previous games. Unfortunately, further details surrounding the title are still extremely few and far between.
my i cant freaking wait, big fan and that E3 trailer was just... well WOW. its going to be a long wait but it looks like its going to be worth it.
@Darthveng: I read that it will not rely heavily on button prompting like the other games. I truly believe the game will be innovative. It is also more of a survival horror game than an adventure game, or so I read.
man o man, 2012 is a busy year for gaming. At least we'll all die happy when the end of the world comes.
If this is just a glorified button prompt game then you can count me the h*** out. That's not what TR is!!!
I played Tomb Raider 1,2,3, Anniversary, Legend and Underworld. Since they are going to give Lara a new beggining i will be there to see it. I love this serie.
Looks very similar to the Uncharted games, so just like the Uncharted games borrowed some ideas from tomb raider now tomb raider is borrowing some ideas from Uncharted.
Hopefully, this will be a great reboot to a series that has fallen from grace. All the best to the devs :D
I'm not a fan of tomb raider, but after just watching the E3 presentation of this Tomb Raider, all I can saw is WOW. Nice work! This one looks excellent!
