This is actually one of my most anticipated game of the year so I'm definitely going to get the collectors edition... I played ME1 and ME2 and I'm excited to see how it'll all end
E3 2011: Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition detailed

$80 limited-run package for EA and BioWare's space RPG includes in-game weapons, soundtrack, lithograph, art book, N7 patch.
LOS ANGELES--Mass Effect 3 fans were given two surprises as part of today's Electronic Entertainment Expo press conference extravaganza. At Microsoft's media briefing, project director Casey Hudson confirmed the rumored Kinect support for the title. Shortly thereafter, EA took the liberty of announcing a March 6 release date for the multiplatform action-oriented role-playing game.
Now, EA has one more minor detail to offer about Mass Effect 3. When the game arrives in March, it will come in both a $60 standard edition and an $80 collector's pack. Titled Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector's Edition, the premium package is available to preorder now for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Those who pick up Mass Effect 3's limited-edition SKU will receive a bevy of in-game and tangible perks. Within Mass Effect 3, collector's edition purchasers will gain instant access to the N7 Arsenal Pack, which includes four tactical weapons that are exclusive to the premium package. N7 Collector's Edition buyers will also receive "in-game appearance packs." Promotional art for the package also indicates that gamers will receive an additional downloadable mission and character.
As for out-of-game content, collector's edition purchasers will receive a Mass Effect 3-themed Dark Horse comic book, a hardcover art book, and an N7 patch, as well as an exclusive extended soundtrack and lithograph. Those who buy the downloadable edition of Mass Effect 3's collector's package on the PC will receive all of this content in digital form, save for the N7 patch.

Will the soundtrack be of better quality then the Mass Effect 2 I got off Steam? Really, 256 bitrate mp3 really suck and I payed extra for it. Deus Ex 3 soundtrack came in WAV format which is what should have happened with ME2.
If you can get that cool looing armor in the little pic for Sheppard I will get this DLC, if not then its just waste of money... not even a actual miniatyre of Normandy!
@EliteM0nk3y : i got 1 on PC, 2 on PS3 and XBOX,so i think i might get it for PS3,cause if they make any DLC,i could buy them using my cred card,but for XBOX i couldnt get on LIVE anymore for some reason -.-
@anwar1998 Do you have any of the previous games? If so than that's the system you should buy ME3 on. If not, go for the PC or 360 version as you can get ME1 as well (the comic is no substitute for the game)
It is a shame that I played ME 1 and 2 on XBOX360 and so my saved CHARACTER is on the 360,,,,,,,,,,,otherwise I wouldn't have hesitated a bit in choosing the PS3 version of the game.........

Going to pre-order this tomorrow. This will be the first game I've pre-ordered since Mass Effect 2.

Forget "in game appearance packs", by looking more closely you get a robot dog. Now that's awesome lol. @mattg90520: Are the art book, comic, N7 patch, special tin, lithograph and soundtrack CD not physical media enough for you?
I have the Mass Effect 2 collector's edition, and will definitely be getting this one when it arrives. Long live the Mass Effect universe!
I have never ever bought a pre-order or CE seeing a waste of money for meaningless extras and toys. This is an exception....
@mattg90520 I agree entirely. Also, i bet that the PC version will probably come with a TF2 hat as well.
Anyone else sick of in-game weapons as part of LEs or CEs? I would much rather have physical media, especially to account for the extra cost.

Not the greatest collector's edition ever but far from the worst, may have to think about picking this one up.
Definitely get the CE, I just hope they don't make the same mistakes that the DA2 group did. ~sigh~

Will preorder the collector edition i believe. I've had this in mindset for the last couple of months. Price tag looks fair too.
@dkdk999 Can't stop laughing at the idea of a Wrex plushie, especially if it's a super deformed version. I can hear the tagline now... "So cute... so deadly. Plushie Wrex." In that case, I'd also like to toss a Gumby-like poseable Garrus, a Jack bobble head with voice recording that swears at you when you touch it, and a Jacob with swappable abs into the mix... or, best of all, a customizeable Shepard doll with 30 different hair pieces, 115 face pieces, and an arsenal of weaponry so you can make the figure look like YOUR Shepard. Why can't THAT come in a collector's edition?
nice i love collectors editions and the mass effect ones are the most rarest to find they are so exclusve they go for in ebay from 200 to 1000 is ridiculous
That's... kinda crappy. I'm sure there was a quote from Casey a while back saying they wanted the final collector's edition to have something really cool, along the lines of the big Halo or CoD CE's, but this? A flimsy little art book (why is it only Blizzard that do proper sized arts books?), a patch and a lithograph? Hardly mind blowing for the last in the trilogy.
