E3 2002: Knights of the Old Republic preshow report

LucasArts has released new screens from its upcoming Xbox RPG Knights of the Old Republic. Set roughly 4,000 years before the events in the original Star Wars, the game will have you exploring the Old Republic that has been alluded to in the films. The game will allow you to taste a simpler time in the Star Wars universe, when the Jedi knights maintained order but were faced with the challenge of a thriving Sith order.
Knights of the Old Republic is slated to ship this fall for the Xbox and spring 2003 for the PC. Look for an in-depth hands-on of the Xbox game from the E3 show floor.
