During an interview this afternoon with GameSpot, Charles Bellfield, vice president of marketing and corporate communications at Sega of America, confirmed that the company's massively multiplayer role-playing game Farnation is no longer in development for the Dreamcast console. Bellfield revealed that the project has been moved onto another next-generation console but declined to comment on the specific platform.

Although the system has not been officially confirmed, sources within the industry would have us believe that it's the Xbox. GameSpot will have more on Farnation as further information is revealed.
