E3 06: Eidos pieces together new Bionicle
Bionicle Heroes scheduled for release on PS2, PC, GBA, DS, GameCube this fall; TT Games brings Lego experience to development.
TT Games, the developer formed by the merger of Giant Interactive and Traveller's Tales, owes a lot to Lego. The developer's rep has risen ever since the children's building blocks were part of one of last year's surprise hits in Lego Star Wars, which helped Eidos Interactive's parent company, SCi Entertainment, rake in higher-than-expected cash.
It's not surprising then that TT Games, with its Lego experience, will also be at the helm of Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, which is back in the hands of Star Wars license holder LucasArts.
Eidos isn't abandoning the Lego brand, however, and is teaming up once again with TT for an all-new game based on the Bionicle brand, a sci-fi extension of Lego toys. The game will be titled Bionicle Heroes and will be released this fall on the PlayStation 2, PC, Game Boy Advance, DS, and GameCube.
The game will star a young hero who steps out of his normal life and into the Bionicle world. Gamers will have to master the powers and abilities of legendary Bionicle heroes to overcome challenges.
Eidos has not yet released rating or pricing information for Bionicle Heroes.
i cant wait for this game to come out!! it better be what they say it is!!
Might Get it Hmmm Should I Looks kinda cool but i like the first Bionicles Better
Looks cool, but no version for Xbox. That means I'm stuck with the GBA, DS, or PC versions. DS is most likely better than GBA, so the GBA version is out of the question. I'm afraid that my PC will be obsolete by Fall, (computers get so old so fast. i just got it last year). So I just might have to get the DS version. Dang. Console to handheld usually don't turn out so good...
ha ha ha, no 360!! why?? because it's already DEAD!! 1 more hour to SONY Press!! Bye2 Rubbish Boxes!!
meh. the original legos are much better.
Don't Care.
Lego, been a Lego fan since the early 80's, and recantly my son became a fan of Bionicle. We have been collecting Bionicle for about a year now. While the Lego sets are very unique and cool, the games have been very dissapointing. If they promise to put more effort into this one, it has alot of potential.
oh snap I'm so exited for this. But it a little disapointing it's not goin to the 360 or PSP
Bionicle...nah..i'll pass
finally, not EA crappy bioniclle game and its from TT, those guys are actually good. i can't wait for my favourite lego toys. bionicle here i come.
UM... BORING...NO ONE WANTS THIS!
TT making a LEgo game? Worth taking a look at
not cool
Bionicle... ugh...
Why make it for DS? Sure, people buy the DS, but it seems that Nintendo can't make the DS strong enough.
Wanna know why It's not for PSP? It's because no one in their right mind would buy a PSP, let alone design a GOOD game for it.
I hope that they can make this new game as fun as the Lego Star Wars games. The license has a lot of potential.
huh?
hmm mixed reactions
all the other bionicle games weren't very good
oh god not bionicle I thought this died when i was 10 years old oh god oh god why
Good one:D
SOsosososososo....A new lego game? Those usually stink, along with other "product" games. It was the mercy of god that made Star Wars lego good.
It looks quite nice for a Lego game,.....
I played the first Bionicle game and it was godawful. I still think that the Bionicle toys are brilliant, so if they can give this the same treatment they gave Lego Star Wars II, it might deserve a rental.
how well do thse games even sell....
why no 360 love
oooo! sounds fun.
I am a little sad no PSP game that stinks.
sounds interesting lets hope its not a flop like previous Bionicle games
Sounds sweet. I'll have to check it out.
