Rockstar needs to get a hold of the Duke franchise. They have the sense of humor that could do this franchise justice imo.

i've gotten so confused with this franchise, i dont know what games were being made and who was making them and whats being made now and all the lawsuit crap....its hurting my brain! I can only hope that some game gets released

@bodylotion You forgot Land of the Babes and Zero Hour as well as any handheld iterations of Duke Nukem 3D that may have added or removed some levels here and there (but I can see why you didn't count them). And no there does not exist a Duke Nukem Tetris.

@acid_kenobi : Like there have been 10 duke nukem games. There are only a few games; Duke nukem, Duke Nukem 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem Time To Kill and Manhatten Project (maybe there is something else i believe there was something like a duke nukem tetris or something). All of these games are pretty much different aside from duke nukem 1 and 2.

@bigtruckseries i thought i was the only one that noticed that. I remember playing a Quake 1 mod where everytime i picked up a rocketlauncher it would say, "click click, Groovy"

i loved Duke Nukem 64/3D the multiplayer was awesome they were complete levers of the single player levels and not just cut outs like other FPS multi player arenas.

Duke nukem as a series has been rubbish for a long time,.. BUT there is every chance that they could make a great game under that banner!! They just need to do something NEW for duke nukem, not the same rubbish many of us grew up with, it just can't cut it!!

I think It would be amazing if Duke made a comeback. I find it interesting to see all the people who were fans as kids, grow up and turn their back on the franchise. I think for that fact, a comeback would be that much sweeter.

Here's the deal, do people honestly think the original Duke Nukem was that awesome to begin with? I remember my cousins playing it in 1995, it did impress me as a kid, but it didn't knock me on the floor especially since they had a sega saturn that had the same feel and look. I'm not saying its bad, but what exactly IS the Duke Nukem legacy that's worth saving? It definitely didn't bring anything new to the table, for that you can go to Doom.

The series is dead! It will not live up to the hype or your grand thoughts you have from all those years ago, you we're kids. Just let it go.

Any kind of Duke Nukem news seems to fall on deaf ears,simply because it remains MIA for a decade now. It goes from being released, to delayed, to cancelled. This looks interesting though, almost like Shadow Complex. I'll download the demo, and if it's any good it may warrant a purchase.

I think enough people have bought Duke Nukem off of X-box live for the creators to know that they still have a following. Release the game already! There is no game like this....really theirs not! I miss the stupid aliens the secrets, the weird guns, the babes, the easter eggs, the wise cracks. Why don't they make them like this anymore?

never played duke nukem but based on some of the comments below he sounds like a mix between Ash from Evil Dead (with the hail to the king baby comment coming straight from the ED movies), and looks kinda like Dolph Lundgren.
