DreamCatcher Interactive has today announced that it has opened an office in Paris so it can take advantage of new business opportunities in Europe. DreamCatcher had previously planned to release games in Europe through Cryo Interactive, until the French publisher closed last year.

"This is a signal that DreamCatcher is determined to maintain its aggressive growth strategy, particularly in the PC adventure games market," said Richard Wah Kan, president and CEO. "Having greater control over the production, publishing, and distribution process within Europe will allow us to more effectively duplicate the success we have enjoyed in North America--there's great potential for us."

The European office will be headed up by Oliver Pierre, who was previously co-managing director of French publisher Wanadoo Edition. DreamCatcher hasn't yet announced European release dates for any of its games, but it is currently in talks with a number of European distributors and hopes to have games in stores in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal before the end of February.

Recent games from DreamCatcher include Syberia , Syberia , and Syberia . Games scheduled for release later this year include Syberia , Syberia , and Syberia .
