Dragon Ball GT coming to GBA Video
Majesco announces an agreement with FUNimation Productions to bring its popular Dragon Ball GT anime franchise to GBA Video.
Majesco has today announced an agreement with FUNimation Productions to publish Game Boy Advance Video products based on its popular Dragon Ball GT franchise. Under the terms of the agreement, Majesco secures the exclusive GBA Video rights to the Dragon Ball GT series for both the United States and Canada.
"We are thrilled to partner with FUNimation to bring the extremely successful Dragon Ball GT property to our Game Boy Advance Video lineup," said Jesse Sutton, CEO of Majesco. "Having achieved retail sell-in of more than 2 million units for our initial offerings, we're confident that such a highly recognizable property as Dragon Ball GT will continue that momentum into the back half of the year--and beyond."
"The Dragon Ball GT audience is a perfect match with the Game Boy Advance demographic," added Gen Fukunaga, president of FUNimation Productions. "With more than 21 million Game Boy Advance owners throughout North America, Majesco's innovative technology will enable us to bring our top-rated animated action series to this extremely large audience."
