Press Release
London, November 2006, Empire are pleased to announce that they will be bringing the ever popular fighting classic Double Dragon to Xbox Live Arcade. Double Dragon is one of the original fighting side-scrolling beat'em up games and its arrival to Xbox Live Arcade will please fans of golden age gaming.
Double Dragon re-introduces martial Arts masters, Billy and Jimmy Lee (AKA Hammer and Spike), who must defeat the savage street gang known as the Black Warriors to rescue Billy's girlfriend, Marian. The Xbox Live Arcade version will feature a downloadable demo and original and graphical enhanced versions. Player action will include online co-op 2 player and one-on-one fighting for the final battle. The game will also feature the opportunity to score 12 achievement points for your online Xbox Live Arcade profile and an online leaderboard will give you the opportunity to show off your Double Dragon skills to your friends.
"We are excited to be releasing the acclaimed arcade classic Double Dragon as our first title to the booming Xbox Live Arcade community," said Paul Benjamin. He added, "With its online multiplayer mode and a never before seen enhanced version, we know Live Arcade gamers are going to have many hours of fun with this slice of gaming history"
Double Dragon will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace in March 2007 at 400 points.
