Doom 3 BFG Edition headed for 360, PS3, PC

I have PS3, so i was super stoked that they remade for the consoles.

If you care about a flash light so much and darkness play the silent hill series. Its all about the action and the gore. 

Don't buy it on ps3 , Bethesda games don't work right yet again.. Struggles at 60fps...

I'm buying it, but I wish they had a mode where you can have the flashlight the old way. I felt that was brilliant and added so much tension. It was whiny gamers who couldn't do both that got it cut. It'd be nice if they had an option to not have it armor mounted. Also why checkpoints are nice, but the last game had save anywheres which was awesome. Hope they keep that..

Is so tempting to buy it.

Let me guess, you're an xbox360 gamer right. It's kind of obvious seen as how PC players to the best of my knowledge aren't known as being flamers. Regardless, yes you are right, Doom 3 was originally released on PC and Xbox. What of it?? I've got two copies of it for xbox. PS2 missed out first time due to limitted hardware capabilities so now it's coming in HD glossiness to PS3 as well... DEAL WITH IT!!

makes me sad to see such a great game being released on the crapstation 3 it was originaly released on pc and xbox

im wondering why if its 'remastered' they didnt had some new graphics fetures. ones that i made to the game myself when i was playing. like adding light and shadows to plasma gun bolts. i know why they didnt do it to the og game. the number of shadows would have melted anybodys computer at the time O.O

Been waiting for D3 to be released as an Xbox Original or on XBLA so this just made my day.

I still have this for my pc was one the last FPS game I bought. that was worth buying.

and NO Cod, MW and all that junk are not worth the money

Well if the flashlight isn't optional I could care less about this, I still have Doom 3 on the original Xbox and its still one of my favorite shooters to date because of having to choose between light or firepower. If they are gonna take away the darkness then this is just CoD with demons.

many of you need to STFU. no one is forcing you to buy it. saying ID and Bethesda want just one more dollar is totally nonsense. Some people like myself are REALLY excited about this. I have doom 3 for pc and xbox and will buy it AGAIN for 360. This will also be the 3rd platform I have Doom 1 and 2 on. and will play them again.

Just FYI the duct tape mod came out 3 days after doom 3 original release and was downloaded more 80,000 times in the first 24 hours. more than a few people thought it was a necessary improvement. I am sure they will have a light toggle button, and if you really want to play in the dark you are welcome too!

Looking at the trailer, it honestly looks like they're just simply repackaging Doom 3 with a Bethesda logo slapped on.

Devs need to take a look at Croteam's work before thinking about doing a re-release of an old game.

I hope they really tune up AI, that was the big problem for me: seeing  the demons do a spectacular entrance, and then find out they just know how to navigate the level and throw fireballs. The didn't feel like demons after some kills. I could care less about the flashlight system. In fact, I hope I can configure it as a classic style.

Im getting this and glad know for ps3 includeing 2 old games and doom 3 and doom was a great game . And hope this sales and gd be for xbox360 owners as well.

What does BFG stand for? Either way, this will be good if it isn't just an "HD version" Like Resident Evil 4 HD.

They should have released the extras with Doom 4.  Sorry, but I'll wait for Doom 4.

Doom 3 was a great game. I was actually thinking about playing it again. Now i'll just get this instead.

Got them all (1, 2, Final & the formentioned including the Quake series) on steam for $60. I would have to see this in action for it to convince me to buy it. Finished it 3 times, but never got into Resurrection of Evil, I always say I'm going to finish it some day but something new is alway just around the corner.

I actually kinda liked Doom 3....I'm not on trial, so don't judge me.

But the version I have has a bad habit of glitching, and I've never played Resurrection of Evil. This game will sell at least one copy.

I'm glad.  My PC copy has been sitting for ages, but I really want to play i on ps3 and get trophies.

This would be interesting, but I already have multiple copies of the game due to original purchase, steam sales (for convenience in playing it), and of course my 'trial edition' I used before I bought the game twice. I don't need another copy.

Oh, and a mod fixed the flashlight design error long ago.

So with everyone rehashing why don't we just say another Duke Nukem is coming out .....

All this Doom 3 talk is making me want to play rage for a 4th time,

flash light with the armor?!??! oh thats such a tragedy....the THING with doom 3 are those moments you must sacrifice gunpower to see the ambient and kill demons with the flashlight.....disappointing...

They're not even going to bother updating the graphics or add new (better) guns are they? If not, I'd only get it if it was 15 bucks AFTER tax.

I tried playing Doom 3 again not too long ago. It felt too narrow and linear to me and I didn't really enjoy it that much. I must say I found Prey to be more fun, seeing as they are similar games.

that's cool, but i don't want to play $60 again for a game that i can get for $20 on steam, and there are already free mods that improve the visuals and add mounted flashlights, if it's $30 - 40 maybe, but even with the new missions and added improvements i don't think it'll be buying at full price

Why no Final Doom? Why do devs always do that.. leave out one or two games in these collections games?

Would it really be so hard to stick Final doom in there and make it totally complete?

If the graphics are RAGE quality, I'll definitely buy this. If not, it would be a waste because I already own all the doom games on PC. Also, please make the guns sound more badass. They sound like popcorn popping when you shoot them -_-\
