Demon's Souls haunting Europe

I'm happy Europe is getting this game. Too many people have never even heard of this exceptional game which is retarded. I hope this gives it a little more fame so more people can have the chance to enjoy it. P.S. I was in France last month and saw the pre order in a game store. The red cover looks cooler than the NA cover

bought it yesterday the online feature is not on yet but i m drooling all over it.i have rented it before 1 month and fell in love with it.come on europe i need some help over here

Finally, I am not living in Europe anymore but everybody was asking for this game and imported it. This game is amazing and that they will release it in Europe means there are a lot of PPL who share my oppinion. I love DS

Words can not describe how amazing this game is, but it sure isn't no COD crowd pleaser. This game gives you less clues than ICO and is just as hard as that game and Shadow of Colossus, but the replay value is out of this world. Buy it but be prepared to want to throw your controller at your TV.

I am so glad you guys are finally getting this game. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

will the black phantom edition be the same as the original?

From the GAME website it's listed as Demon's Souls but the thumbnail image is the Black Phantom Edition cover, so i guess it is the Black Phantom Edition is standard for the UK at least :D

@Chaos Eagle $60 is nothing really to take a chance on something, but let's just say that it is a lot of money to put on a chance. usually games that are sleeper hits like Demon's Souls usually do very well in the long run. Right now there are a few hundred thousand gamers who own this game. that may sound like a lot, but it really isn't went you take into account that there are like 30 million PS3's sold worldwide...maybe more. i know 360 just made it over 40 million, and the PS3 is right behind that number. regardless, ppl will want this down the road, and it will be hard to find.

@zmbi_gmr But is it really worth paying the 40 quid ($60 or whatever it is in the US?) just for a duplicate copy of something that has a CHANCE of being worth something? I know it's pretty damn unique, and it will probably be copied at some point. Sorry man, but I just think you'll make a loss, not that it bothers me in the slightest or that it has anything to do with me whatsoever. :)

Whats messed up is that this game got goty here on gamespot but the IGN playstation podcast beyond team didn't even know this game existed last fall. (those guys don't know crap about PS games. They are more xbox fans .. demon souls rocked and they didn't even have it in the list)

I love Demons Souls, From software and Atlus. I bought the import hong kong version , then I got the Atlus Version , to support my favorite publisher. If Namco would port over Tales of vesperia to US ps3 i would support them too...but they aren't so they get nothing from me.

This game is so good.....Mainly,you get dead a lot before you can beat the game.

@ Chaos_Eagle Dude, you couldn't be more wrong. 10 years from now, and brand new or unopened, this game will be worth more than will the combined Gears of War, Halo series (and maybe throw bargain bin copy of Splinter Cell Conviction in) . As an example, another similar ps2 sleeper hit from 10 years ago called ICO is now selling for $125 on amazon. And that's only bound to go up in another 5 years. Everybody owes it to themselves to buy this special European edition to support the developer and to perhaps get a nice collectible in the bargain.

@Chaos_Eagle because it looks frickin' sweet, and this game is by far my favorite game this gen. i do not repurchase games just so i can have the American / European / Japanese version, but this is one game that i wouldn't mind having in collection unopened. maybe it would be worth something 10 -15 years down the road, and maybe it won't. time will tell i guess.

Way too late, people who wanted this game have already imported it. The only hope for this game, is if you can play on the same servers as the US. Possible ability to import your character from both the US and Asian version of the game... that's the only way I can see this working.

@zmbi_gmr : Why buy a copy for your collection ? Having the game and playing it is enough for everyone else. I can't even see it becoming very valuable in the future.

This makes me wish I didn't buy the US version. I'll still get the BPE anyway. It's so cheap, compared to the US Deluxe Edition, it would be stupid not to get it.

This is fantastic news. Being in the UK I only got this when I found someone selling an imported copy on Ebay. Still playing this game, and now my friends will be able to also!

oh yeah! more gamers to throw their controllers in frustration! it's a great game: very addicting and sucks you in, but still hard.

@ Jawehawk-DK type acorncinema and demon's souls in youtube and watch the first review that shows up. If you find yourself nodding your head and smiling at most of the things he says about this game or modern gaming in general then DS is definitely the game for you. I also like the hardcore award he gives it at the end :) .

I wish there was a demo for this game, because I can't decide wether or not to buy it.

this will probably the game that collectors will want in their collection. i own this game already, but i am now thinking about ordering this copy just to keep unopened for my collection. best game this gen by far.

@kikkoman808 What do you mean by Western theme? Cowboys and Indians? The way I see it is the main character is a Knight in a suit of armour fighting dragons and such, ever heard of St George the patron saint of England (England being a European country) If you mean American when you say Western then there's nothing Western about this game.

hmmm maybe a buy unsure... need to look more at the videos @ MSG-Deathscythe you play games for fun not to get frustrated if you like a challenge go for it lol

you are not a real gamer if you don't play this game. skrew all those fps games. those are for kids. too easy. if you want real challenge, pick this up.

Good news - never understand my games released in the US not getting released in the EU and vice versa because the 2 regions have similar tastes - understand releases in Japan being different
