Dead Space 3 leaked images hint at co-op
Series of shots from unannounced game show Isaac Clarke fighting necromorphs alongside partner in iceworld setting.
Electronic Arts has not yet officially announced Dead Space 3, but the evidence of its imminent unveiling is mounting. A batch of nine screenshots purportedly from the game have been posted to All Games Beta, and they bolster previous rumors that the project will feature cooperative play and be set on an ice planet.
Earlier this month, a report suggested Dead Space 3 would add co-op, with a mystery second character assisting series hero Isaac Clarke in battles against necromorphs. The new screenshots show off a character who matches up with Earthgov Sergeant John Carver, recently introduced to the Dead Space fiction in the Dead Space graphic novel short.
The new screenshots also show off snowy settings, pointing to Dead Space 3 being set on an ice planet, which was rumored earlier this month.
As of press time, EA had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment. If the publisher plans to take the wraps off Dead Space 3 soon, it is possible the company will do so during its 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo presentation, scheduled for 1 p.m. PDT on Monday, June 4.
