Dead Island dev reveals next-gen open-world game Dying Light

I'm actually excited for this, dead island, while it had it's flaws was enjoyable.
this could be a more refines version that fixes a lot of dead islands problems?
I like the idea of the day/night cycle too and night time being dangerous.

All I see is chromatic aberation..

It sure looks pretty.... i just hope it ain't as repetetive as dead island 1 & 2...

I just hope they don't make me kick zombies in the face ten times just to kill one.

I still want a Dead Rising 3 that takes place in an infested airport linked to a mall.

Why is it that all the pictures have sun flares in the background?! That's an old trick I can even use it in Minecraft!

Are they really advertising a day/night cycle as an innovative feature? I remember that being exciting in Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64. Seems similar to how they advertised Riptide's "multi-floor level design" as some crazy new idea (we get it, you added lots of ladders).

So the Wii U is more powerful than the 360/ps3 and its not coming to that system?  It goes to show you that Nintendo 3rd party relations isn't good, as most dev's have it that only Nintendo games sell well on there system...

Nothing against ck just don't have any more patience for this crap that gamespot has created and then let all the flies hover around it.

We need a good 3rd person zombie game not another first person. View is terrible and it really takes from the experiance. Imagine a good rpg 3rd person zombie game with lots of finish moves. Blood and gore and 3rd person.

I will have 3 systems this game could be played on and I won't be getting it on any of those either. Techland hasn't proven to me they are anything but a mediocre studio with uninspired concepts.

I am not feeling a difference between this game and riptide. It all looks the same.
  Concerning this news article, why must the news editor focus a negative light on certain systems when in fact the news should focus on the game. Stop fanning the flames when you don't need to. This is a cheap way to get your post count up with nothing but fanboy comments. It is not easy wading through all the garbage in the comment section looking for interesting posts from people if the editor is not interested in creating a good discussion.

The zombies look like witches from 70's horror movies. 

Don't care for the game, good lighting though, last shot looks a bit weird.

A zombie GTA? Sounds good! But they need to ditch current gen consoles. They'd be wasting less resources that way.

play stalker, learn from it, play metro too, play some amnesia, play RE1,2,3, and 4 stop here..... now..... make a bigger open world...ok.... now make the setting even more hostile.... good ...... add atmosphere.... make ammo count..... make zombies an actual threat (im looking at u dead island) remove the possibility of defeating anything more than one zombie with melee... good.

Dead Island one was... mediocre. RipTide appears to be more of the same...

Who knows, maybe the dev team has learned some key do's and don'ts the hard way. This game could be all you want from a zombie apocalypse scenario.

Or it could be arse.

I'm still very skeptical about these types of games, especially with what happened to everybody's favorite WarZ. But the screens and concepts look and sound solid enough, so I really want this to be true.

BTW, is this singleplayer or multiplayer like DayZ (yes,the better one)?

A little advice, Techland? If this IS MP (or even if it's not), don't turn us all into little Rambos and Chuck Norrises. Make us (including the military elites) the nearly-extinct in-despair underdogs, just like what we are in World War Z (yes,the book) or TWD. It won't solve ALL the player-killing problems in the World (there will always be real-life Governors among us). But if there are too many of the undead (again,read WWZ) and if we TRULY know and feel that it's just a handful of us now, it'd at least make a-holes think twice about killing potential allies and reinforcing the ranks of the opposition. And it'd certainly be much scarier.

Dead Island Riptide is a poverty game. So cheaply made. So not that interested about this. But we will see.

ain't gonna lie: I hope the end of Riptide is the start of this game lol. 

So its next gen dead island...I'm not gonna let myself get hyped for this.

Hmm interesting, but I was really looking forward for dead island as well. When I started dead island I quickly found out that the game had much that did not really work well, driving, melee combat not to talk about the shooting in the game, movement for your character and the graphics are not really that good. The screenshots for this game and what they have to say about the movement for your character are promising though :) What I hope is that this game is standard singleplayer and not like dead island standard 4 player coop, when I played dead island alone it had a eary feeling, when I played it coop that was gone and I was just running around like Rambo chopping away. Oh one more thing that really bothered me about dead island and that was a big thing was the really bad characters in the game, I hope that this game will have a character that is more serious and emotionally involved.
