After mastering the game ( all best gear) it went down hill (after a few weeks). Seem's everyone's ambition is to find that sniper and camp near Cherno for hour's killing bambi's (not interested in that, get's boring fast). This game look's a rush job that has been copied and pasted from the last and won't bring a new experience, just new map's, which is very dissapointing because the dayz mod concept was great but LOAD'S of flaw's which people who wasn't so easily addicted walked away from. Unfortunatly this look's exactly the same and will carry all the same flaw's as the last. I was a dumb enthusiast thinking they could create a new dayz from last Aug that was alot better than the current...which now I think about it, was never going to happen.
DayZ stand-alone's first in-game footage released
Fifteen-minute developer blog for DayZ shows off clothing, new island, and beans.
The first footage of the upcoming stand-alone version of DayZ has been released, showing 15 minutes of gameplay from the popular zombie survival game.
DayZ creator Dean "Rocket" Hall and production assistant Matt Lightfoot are playing the game, talking over the footage, and, in one bit, are taking off their in-game trousers.
The look of the menus and UI have also been streamlined and shown off, with the player's current avatar shown off in the background of the main menu.
The rest of the video shows off improvements to the map--including swamps, an expanded military base, and a new island--alongside a new method of spawning loot in buildings. Scavenging in the stand-alone version of DayZ looks like it might be particularly tricky, seeing as items (such as the tin of beans shown in the video) can spawn behind and under other objects.
As for when the game might head into open beta, Hall said that there was "no time frame" for this but that the development team is focused on making more information about DayZ available via blog posts and additional videos.
