THQ's action game coming to Nintendo's new console with Argul's Tomb DLC and preorder bonuses, adding roughly five hours of extra content.
Nintendo is keeping quiet on the games it plans to launch with the Wii U on November 18, but THQ is not. The publisher has announced that Darksiders II will be a Wii U launch title, arriving for the new platform with additional content.
The Wii U version of Darksiders II will come bundled with the game's first downloadable content expansion, Argul's Tomb, as well as preorder bonuses from other editions. Altogether, THQ claims this content adds about five hours of playable content, as well as new weapons and armor.
Darksiders II for the Wii U will use the system's tablet-like GamePad controller to display maps and objectives. Additionally, players can use the controller to scroll through and select items from main character Death's inventory.
Darksiders II launched for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in August to a warm critical reception. It had long been rumored as a launch title for the Wii U. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
Wow Im shocked GameSpot reported such a Positive Article about the Wii
with an Actual Developer Saying the "Graphics are superior" .
Sign me up Im glad I waited to buy this game
A third party game I have no intention of buying on my Wii U.
I'm ready for Exclusive quality games Nintendo, not sequels to games I own on other machines. I keep the collections on the same platform anyways.
Dark siders is a okay game... not worth buying a system for that's for sure.. just a late port like the rest of the games mentioned...
@jasongm especially for a new console that is more powerful than the PS3 and 360. This is what the Nintendo Wii should of been.
Nintendo getting Darksiders 2 as well as other games Mass Effect 3, Assasins Creed 3 Batman Arkham City, and CoD Black ops 2. are all late ports on Nintendo's Wii U. Thats 5 games which the lions share of purchases will be on PS3 and Xbox 360. Darksiders 2 and the others are "late" but still great? If that second screen on the Gamepad adds to the gameplay. We will soon find out.
@Megavideogamer AC3 and CoD will be late by a couple of weeks. Got your panties up in a bunch, or what?
@lazarius12 but not incorrect... as preorders will attest to people dont like to wait for something they can have right now, and especially on a system they already have. your last line was unnecessary and also ironic given the messenger.

@seekerofangels um Nintendo seems to be late with the older ports.. i don't think anyone wants to play mass effect 3 since its been out almost a year and must be really confusing for new gamers.. same with batman and the other ports.. people will want to play newer games. Hope Nintendo makes them discounted prices and not full..
@seekerofangels Will you shut up
Ah, I was planning on picking this up at some point (I loved the first game). Might as well be the "complete edition" on Wii U.
i dont understand why they launching these games who ppl ALREADY bought for the ps3-xbox
waste of money
@Albaficas I didn't buy any of them. I probably will for the Wii U. That's why.
@Albaficas I haven't bought ME3, Batman AC, Darksiders II and I own a 360... =/
@Albaficas Has it occurred to you that not everyone who wants to play this game owns an Xbox 360/PS3/gaming PC? Or that the ones who do haven't bought the game yet?
I'm shocked that Nintendo would allow a game that's plagued with so many bugs and glitches onto their hardware. Perhaps it will be fixed on Nintendo while the rest of us got f*cked in the ass.
plagued? been playing it on the PS3 and can only think of a handful nothing game breaking
@SirNormanislost I have the PS3 version. There is constant screen tearing and drops in frame rate. During the level where you return to earth all of the sound effects and music dropped completely out accept for the sound of the rain in the backround(That seemed to fix itself after I died a few times). Let's see what else... my game has frozen up on me a total of 8 times so far. % times in a row when I tried to read the book at the Arbiter's Maze. The game is f*cked up dude. I've had other friends that had lost quest items because of a glitch. They should be ashamed of what they put on the store shelves. I've stopped playing it because I'm fed up and so has a good friend of mine.
@leviathanwing Also, anyone who reads this doesn't have to take my word for it because this mess of a game speaks for itself and the store shelves are loaded with used copies already.
I thought this was confirmed for launch at last years E3 (it being a launch title). It's nice that they are putting the DLC into the game for no extra cost.
@GamerEye I think it was named as being "in the launch window" but now it is confirmed for day-and-date launch with the system.
Great game even if it's a littel too ambitious.
I still won't get a WiiU(at least not until a year later) but I hope that those who'll get it well enjoy this :)
