Crytek opens American studio

Well this sucks. One of my favorite game companies that actually cares a bit about their players went down and was bought out by crytek; the company that doesn't care at all about their players. This is also sad because it is most likely the beginning of the end. Most gamers just can't seem to see past the scope of their rifle to see whether or not it is a good game. "No guns, no bullets, no grenades? Not interested" I heard that sales of darksiders II skyrocketed from darksiders I and still it went down? Now that is what sucks.

Another thing that is sad is if anyone knows cryteks track record vigil will be working on crysis 4 and then the entire ex-company will probably be fired halfway through. If you haven't heard of what happened with #2 check out the articles on the web. Though there is more than one reason why crytek has made the top of my least favorite gaming companies list. Strange enough CoD is second when it should be first.

Wait...Where did Crytek gets all the money for new studios? I thought Crysis 2 was a commercial failure, the most pirated game of 2011 and all...? 

I was looking forward to the four brothers kickin ass in Darksiders 3.

Happy for the guys, sad for the great series' demise.

Hmmm... Crytek opens a new office in the USA.....  In the same city as one of the development branches for Cloud Imperium Games who are making Star Citizen.  Who are also using the CryEngine 2 to make Star Citizen....  Interesting.

Crytek should fire everyone involved in making Crysis 2 and 3, and make the next crysis like the first Crysis, which was IMO the only good Crysis, Warehead was also not bad. But Crysis 2 and 3 have almost nothing to do with the original or its' awesome plot.

Darksiders was alright. But I'd much rather vigil develop a new IP. Its interesting though. Darksiders 1 looked awful on consoles. And now being a part of crytek. Ironic. 

Sorry to hear about the Darksiders franchise as i'm playing the 1st one right (PS+) now. But on the bright side glad the guys at Vigil got a new job so quickly

Crysis 3 sucks. CoD is like way better

This sucks. Darksiders is a great series and what Vigil is known for and it's what many want from them and Crytek is saying no. Are they that stupid? I'm glad the Vigil devs. got work but knowing they aren't gonna be working on Darksiders anymore is a huge depressant.

Crytek open its northamerican studio at the time of economical Crisis thats great. this one is really good for vigil studios developers and i think Cliff blezenski should submit his resume at this sudio too.

WTF why isn't no one pissed that these foreigners are coming in here a takin our jobs! America hicks and inbreed get pissed that mexicans come over to mow your lawns but don't bat a cross-eyed eyelash at a whole team of illegal immigrants coming over to get good paying game development jobs from hardly working americans. True most of austin, texas are recovering meth addicts with the high quality education that only the 12th grade can give, but still yet 'they're takin our jobs!' 

No seriously, glad vigil team found a home, was sad they didn't get picked up during the auction.

R.I.P Darksiders...It's sad to see another great franchise die. The same thing happened with Free Radical when it got acquired by Crytek... they were never allowed to work on Timesplitters. I hope this time they at least show some respect to this franchise and let Vigil work on a 2nd sequel in the near future

Whoa! Talk about expanding.

Glad the Vigil guys will be able to work  together (although I wanted them to go to Sony Santa Monica). Hopefully they'll work on Crawler and not another CE3 shooter.

Glad to see at least some of Vigil's employees found a home. 

While this is good news for the employee's, I still find it hard to believe that they couldn't "find" a buyer for the studio or the franchise.

Some good news is better than none, I hope the best Vigil personnel and their families.

Glad they finally found new employment, but I'm disappointed that the fate of Darksiders is still up in the air, especially since DSII really hit a high mark :(

Yay, another high octane AAA action blockbuster graphically superior product voiced by an all star cast of well known hollywood actors.

Just let them do what they were doing. I'm tired of this shit.
