One of my favorite arcade games. Great for mobile. Interested to see how they address the controls. Might make it easier to play. $3-5 and I might get it. Already bought on ps3.

Sega bringing open-world racing game to iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch later this month.
Crazy Taxi will pick up its next fare on iOS devices. Sega recently announced via a teaser video that the open-world racing game is headed to iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch later this month.
Sega did not specify a price for the game, and the company was not immediately available for comment.
Crazy Taxi originally released in arcades in 1999, with a subsequent launch for Sega's own Dreamcast game console.
A high-definition version of the game is available today on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for $10 and also through the Dreamcast Collection.

Yeah, I'm totally exaggerating the fact that I own a Dreamcast. It's actually broken and I don't have any games for it. And the VGA box? I made that up.

I like the game but cannot see how it can work well on the platform, other that by gyroscope.
1 Like I love to see these classic games get a second lease on life, but these companies (Sony, Sega, Square Enix) always price these games way outside the reasonable range. I'm not paying you $10 for a 17-year-old game that you converted into an app that has about 90 minutes worth of good gameplay in it.Your remade apps should be only three or four dollars.
i always found this game a pain to control on the consoles... God knows how hard it will be on a touch screen
1 Like I'll take it! Haven't played this game in years. I wasn't the biggest fan, but it's a fun game that would translate well to he mobile platform.
@burgeg Then get fair wars for the PSP. It includes Crazy Taxi 1, Crazy Taxi 2, it has a custom soundtrack feature so you can add the old songs in, and it has a few new features such as the ability to knock people out of their cars then give them a ride.
@NettoSaito Thank you for letting me know this. I was unaware. If it's a reasonable price on the PS Store I'll download it on my Vita.
@burgeg @parabolee As far as I know, all games that transfer from the PS3 to the Vita work in both territories. I have not heard otherwise.But you might want to do some research to be sure before spending the money. I can tell you that a LOT of the games that work do say they are only compatible with the PSP, but they transfer over fine from the PS3. http://psvitaforum.com/threads/list-of-psp-games-playable-from-ps3-vita.8098/
@parabolee @burgeg Are you certain? It says on the description it's only compatible with PSP. I'm from the UK. You're sure it's compatible with Vita for Europeans and not just the US? I don't want to buy it and find out I've wasted my money.
@burgeg Actualy it is compatible if you download it via your PS3 and transfer it to your Vita. Weird and stupid I know, but there you go.

great game for mobile but I predict the control scheme will lead to fail. Also the game is availble via PC Dreamcast emulation(in HD) for $0. Consoles can suck it.
@wuushew Yeah, you got the emulation, you pirated the roms, but you are still playing a consol(ed) game.
Except emulation isn't perfect and nothing quite compares to the original. Even when it's HD all you're doing is stretching the screen out.
