Happy Monday everyone! This week is the big week, the week where GameSpot evolves from one form to the next as the whole site rebuilt from the ground up. We know for some of you this is scary, and some of you still have many questions about what's going on. Don't worry, we're here for you. There is a nifty FAQ that has many answers, and of course you're always welcome to ask the Community Team your questions. Are you excited for the new site to get here?

Also a reminder just incase you haven't seen details on this. The following user generated features will be shut down starting at 5:00pm PST today; New User Registration, PMs, User Blogs, Lists, Follows, User Reviews, and Ratings . Additionally, the forums will be in a state of pseudo-chaos meaning that discussions created over the next 48 hours may not make it to the new site. But don't worry; the tech team here at GameSpot is working super hard to make sure that this transition and your content make it over as smoothly as possible. But just for funsies, go ahead and back that stuff up. Trust us, we've got your back!‬

What to look forward to

Of course the biggest thing to be on the look out for is the new site. Many things will be changing which means users will be able to really dig deep and show off their personality. The new profile page offers a wide array of updated features you can add to help define your GameSpot persona.

For those of you who aren't aspiring Pokemon Masters gearing up for the release of X/Y, we have other things in store for you.

This week you can look forward to features from Ryse: Son of Rome, GTA Online, XCOM: Enemy Within, and Thief. So be sure to stay tuned to see what we have in store.

‬A bit about him: Favorite Game: Sonic Mega Collection I consider myself an avid gamer and reviewer, and I really love playing many different games. I'm a fan of 2-D and 3-D platformers, along with action games like Devil May Cry, RPG's like Persona 3 and Fallout 3, and pretty much anything original.

Contests

This week's contests are still being kept hush-hush, but we promise that there will be an update with a nifty prize attached in Wednesdays report so make sure you're tuned in!
